This light is very compact and bright. Build quality is great with glass lens. Reflector (plastic) fits the mini Cree board perfectly. Beam pattern is good as well with enough focus and flood. Focus is not adjustable though as the reflector is twist locked inside the head unit.
Lux reading to be posted within a few minutes. Note that this is a quantity-limited custom run. Later on we may have production run models with a little lower costs. Build and performance is the same between this and producution (it's really just a pre-modded 3W MDXL anyway -- saves you from soldering works).

Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: Good output --easy to use.

Cons: ringy spot because of smooth reflector.
Plastic lens.
A little bulky compared to other single CR123 twisty lights.

Other Thoughts: This light is a decent twisty LED that was upgraded w/ a CREE LED. For the price, it's not bad, but there room for improvement (glass lens, texture reflector).

Bottomline: There are better designed single twisty CR123 lights but not less expensive ones.

Pros: Extremely bright, solid construction and paint does not chip. I used the rechargeable CR123A 800mah #722, and when fully charged it runs about 15mins then light output falls fast!

Cons: It eats the batteries fast, the plastic lens scratches easily, wrist strap is too small.

Other Thoughts: It would be good to have a glass lens.

Bottomline: Every one that sees it wants one! I love mine, and you will too!

Ownership verified by DX Very bright, very small, very good

Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: Scarily bright, especially with 3.6v cells
Very small
Very light
Feels sturdy
Takes rechargeables

Cons: No low-brightness level. Would be handy, as full power eats more than 600ma (tested with lab power supply) and is not always necessary
Heats up quickly
No ridges: will roll off a leaning surface

Other Thoughts: Beam is tight, with strong hot spot in the middle and little light in the wide pool around it

Bottomline: Very effective little light. Has instantly become my main flashlight, and has already proven itself very useful more than once. I just wish there was a dimmer mode for when I need to (say) read something in the dark... full power will just reflect and ruin your night vision.

Ownership verified by DX Great bargain light!

Pros: Bright! Regulated output. (please refer to my runtime test: http://0rz.tw/6b2Cj)Fit and looking feels good.

Cons: The head isn't clean inside. The o-ring is stiff and lubricant will help. Illusion ringy beam due to high output XR-E and smooth reflector.

Other Thoughts: Textured reflector will smooth out the beam.

Bottomline: Great bargain light worth the price!
