Pros: A decent infrared pocket-light, nice and easy, also usefull during daylight when using an IR-filter.
Cons: It isn't too powerfull on a distance and the red glow passes through my home made Infra-red filter so that stays visible to the normal eye.
Other Thoughts: I've experimented with IR-photography and the problem is you can do this in two ways. Remove the IR-blocking filter or coating and place a filter that blocks all visible light. Works very well on cheap camera's. Or just place one filter to block visible light except IR and hope that there is enough Infra-red, or help a little with this flashlight.
Bottomline: I use two sheets of developped unexposed dia-positive films. this blocks almost all visible light but lets IR pass through. It's easy to cut out in a perfect shape for the camera but it cannot block the red shine on the flashlight
Great 4 the price

Pros: Great for the price shows a decent amount of ir light shown up on my camera still trying to find a way to make nightvision goggles
Good build quality althogh can get hot after a whiles use.
Cons: The main con for me was the red glow the leds give off which is vissible to the naked eye.
You can fix this by creating a filter but have not got around to yet
Other Thoughts: Great little unit for whatever you want to use it for. If any one knows how i can make cheap nightvision goggles using this please contact me.
Bottomline: Buy one or two and if you are clever install a filter to block the red glow

Pros: -good to use with a camera
-makes me feel like a spy
-cheap
-made of metal
-small and compact
-fits into my pocket
Cons: -red glow from lights is visible to the human eye
-range is ok
-no other ones I can think of.
Other Thoughts: This is the cheapest flashlight I could find. When I got it I put the batteries in wrong but soon realized it and fixed them. I tested the flashlight out with my camera and it worked pretty good.
Bottomline: I recommend that you buy it. You will not find it anywhere else. I give it a 5/5.

Pros: Easy to use, pretty decent build quality, bright enough for my application, small enough to fit in your pocket, quite light aluminum case and hole for attaching a strap or something if you need it.
Cons: I had to custom make a filter for it which reduced the red glow visible to the naked eye. It should come with this filter in order to truly be IR.
Other Thoughts: The flashlights do produce a spot pattern, and I wouldn't mind if one of them was a spot, and the other was more of a flood pattern. I imagine that using some type of diffuser might help spread it out a little, but I haven't tried it yet.
Bottomline: This is a great value for an IR illuminator. Very good for the price.
