Ownership verified by DX great player for this price

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: -large space (8gb)
-mine has a good battery duration (i watched a whole movie, listened to some music and it still has 2/3 of battery level on)
-fair speaker if you dont have earphones
-nice touch screen (the easiest way is to use it with your nails)
-easy to use (you just put music and video on the "portable disk", the player sorts out if its a video, picture or music)
-you can play music and watch pictures or do anything else

Cons: -dont come with EU charger with is still not a big con
-the radio does not work with me but probably its just a bit more difficult to make it work
-earphones are bad
-it look cheap
-when i play movies, the sound is behind sometimes

Other Thoughts: the biggest problem is, that it looks cheap, but it is so you cant expect anything else :)

Bottomline: for this price, i didnt expect such a good player...

Ownership verified by DX This is Audio Player in purity. Others No Hope.

Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: This player is wonderful correspond to the reproduction of not only MP3 and WMA but also APE, FLAC, and the and WAV file.
PlayFX, DSP setting, and EQ that working is good.
The price is dynamics of the sound of unbelievable, and is a resolution and an extension.
Excellent, obedient DAC that it is possible to color, and reproduces even difference of sound with bias response of analog tape, recording noise, drum stick noise, and singer's detailed breathings.
If the high fidelity headphone with good efficiency is used, the tone quality that equals high-level audio with power is obtained.
I think that the value obtained by this tone quality in this capacity in this price is wonderful.

Cons: Include Earphone is Sucks, It is necessary to buy a better thing separately and to use it.
The playing of all movie is not good.
The scene falls into Movie. The synchronization of audio shifts Heavyly.
Displayed Japanese function is an awful translation.
Like an exproler is " Ex PORO ler "
The installing game "snake hunter" doesn't end if the power supply is not turned off.
FM radio Adjusted to frequency (76MHz-91MHz) of Japan region.
Even if antenna applies the headphone code instead, it is not possible to receive it because there is no antenna.
The screen on the main display and the screen of the player can be changed. #1-#6 But the selection screen and Explorer is Fixed wallpaper, #1. It might be good for the person who likes pond illustrationthe wallpapers #1. It will not worry.

Other Thoughts: Tested Audio File Formats /w Maximum Fs,Bits
FLAC (.flac) Max Frequency 48KHz 16bits
Broadcast Wave File (.bwf/.wav) 48KHz 16bits
Windows Media Audio Legacy (.wma) 48KHz 320kbps
Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) Original 192KHz 32bits to Real Time Down Convert 44.1K/128kbps
--- The following are the forms not playing. ---
FLAC 96KHz 16bits speed too slow playing.
FLAC 96KHz 24bits noise only
RealMedia Audio (.rm) Display'ed Not Supported
Windows Media Audio Professional (.wma) Fall
Windows Media Audio Lossless (.wma) Fall
Wide Stream Digital (.wsd) Fall
Direct Stream Digital (.dsd) Fall
Audio Interchange File format (.aif/.aiff) Fall
Sun Java Audio (.au) Fall
Sony Digital/Sonicfoundry Perfect Clarity Audio(.pca) Fall
Sony Digital/Sonicfoundry WAVE64 (.w64) Fall
Dolby Digital (.AA3) Fall

Bottomline: Still, the music player-performance has the ability as everything can be permitted.
The purchase of the headphone together without forgetting.

Ownership verified by DX Delivers what was expected

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: + price
+ build quality
+ 8GB
+ light-weight
+ sound through headphones
+ touch screen (after calibration)
+ intuitive UI
+ touch screen can be easily operated with finger nail
+ radio works perfectly (in Europe)

Cons: - battery never seems to charge to full (or the charge meter bugs in UI)
- no hard coded buttons for previous/next song
- USB connection has small annoyances with Vista
- no space for the stylus in the player
- no power light

Other Thoughts: I was surprised from the quality.

Bottomline: Easily worth the price.

Ownership verified by DX Nice little player, big storage, small price

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: - Very good price for an 8GB player, not to mention touch screen
- Lots of functions in a little device (no games though)
- Sound quality (via earphone) is good
- TF/microSD expansion
- e-book reader supports Chinese, English and Unicode, with bookmarks. You can change the font size and color.

Cons: - Video playback function is way too basic. There isn't even a fast forward/backward or x2/x4 option. There is just < > for jumping to prev/next file, and an option for you to skip to particular time. Why have a touch screen with a progress bar when you can't drag the bar to where you want to play?
- Speaker sound quality is not good. Loud, yes, good, no, especially when loud.
- e-book reader has a menu on the right occupying 1/3 of the screen, leaving not much space for the actual text. They could have made the menu single column, with prev page button on top, next page below, the rest in the middle.
- I don't know if I didn't shut it down properly at times (the shut down function is not responsive, you can slide and hold the power button for many seconds and it still doesn't shut down), but the battery life seems rather short.

Other Thoughts: Not really cons, but things that could be improved:
- Touch screen not responsive at times (using fingers only). Hard to double-click using fingers.
- Could have added some other functions like calendar, clock.
- Doesn't resume MP3 playing when powered up. Have to go select the song again.
- If you start photo slideshow using the touch screen, the superimposed buttons will continue to be shown throughout the slideshow. Have to start slideshow using the physical M (menu) button.
- It has sleep timer, but the auto-shut down only goes up to 20 min
- No hole for lanyard (it's small, can be easily dropped)
- A stylus is included but the player doesn't have a slot to hold the stylus
- No multi-touch. You can't zoom or rotate a photo with gestures.
- The earphone jack is 3.5mm but it's recessed. An L-shape earphone plug will not work.
- It has ID3 tag but no cover art display
- The screen doesn't seem bright enough (indoor, max brightness setting) for photo viewing
- e-book reader doesn't resume from previously read book, you have to go select it again
- Cannot operate the player 'blindly'. If you are playing MP3 and have this in your pocket/pouch/bag, you can't just reach in with your hand and press some buttons (next/prev track, pause) blindly. That's what you have to live with for a touch-screen player. I feel they could have put in a couple of shoulder buttons for better usage. (You can change volume blindly though, with the physical buttons.)

Bottomline: Good price, cute little player, big storage, lots of functions
