Pros: + Good built quality, feels more expensive than it is+ I like the gray color, it's different from the black we're used to for flashlight+ Takes only one AA (avalaible anywhere in the world)+ Amount of light produced is enough for most non flashlight addict+ Can tail stand
Cons: - Light color is a bit on the blue side- Would have prefered a real lanyard rater than the keyring lanyard- Lens is plastic, not glass
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Nice little flashlight for the price. I keep one in my car.
Pros: Small Runs on 1 AA battery Bright enough for me Feels good in the hand
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've purchased these reliable little lights for my family to keep at home and in their car. It's a great little light and works wonderfully.
Bottomline: It's 5 bucks. Get a few. I am not a "flashlight" aficionado, but this does what it's supposed to do. I can't ask for much more. It has a mildly blue tint to the light but it is clean and functional. I gave one to a physician who keeps it in his pocket to look at patients. It's better than having to replace button cell batteries on a clunky penlight. I'm happy to find something that just performs its functions.
Pros: + Small and light weight, no rattle with battery inside+ It is solidly built, well anodized and has o-rings+ The barrel feel like more expensive lights; quite similar to RC-A3 (sku 5346)+ Can tail stand and has two holes for lanyard+ Has a keychain on the lanyard
Cons: - Poor light output, it is very dim and has purplish tint; output is similar to other lights below $5- You can only hold the lanyard with one finger- Plastic lens; you can see scratches on it
Other Thoughts: Everything feel right and good on hand until you turn on the switch (it has a reverse clicky) and will be disappointed with the light output.I managed to get more than 1.5hrs runtime on cheap Ni-MH battery, after that the light become very weak for anything useful. Better battery will likely improve runtime.
Bottomline: This is a solid and cheap flashlight. If you don't requires strong light, this is a very good choice.
Pros: For unknown reasons, it stopped flickering after some weeks. Power consumption dropped dramatically also.Right now, it´s an ok light.I fell asleep several times with the light switched on and woke up with the HX-G011 still running brightly - very good runtime.
Cons: Threads are still too fine - takes some time to mount the tailcap w/o cross-threading
Other Thoughts: Almost no scratches or dings in the anodizing, the lens is also scratch-free. The clicky-switch is *great*, I love the very positive action ( although it´s a "reverse" clicky )
Bottomline: You get what you pay for.Initially, I was disappointed with the HX-G011.After some month´s, this light grows on me. A 0.5W LED is enough for most indoor tasks.
