Pros: Bright, well made, 5 modes, takes common AA and AA NIMH batteries, HA III. Good choice of brightness levels.
Cons: Threads slightly rough (could be solved by cleaning and lubricating). Threads somewhat loose (could be solved by replacing with a thicker o-ring).
Other Thoughts: Runtime with Panasonic 2000ma NIMH: High: 2 hrs. Medium: 4 hrs. Low: 30 hrs. High is pretty bright and easily throws 60 feet or more. Medium is bright enough for general use. Low is good indoors.
Bottomline: More expensive than some other 1xAA lights, but well worth it.
Pros: Great light, nice output and textured reflector. I'm think its a great deal for the price. I like the HAIII finish. Once I cleaned the threads and re lubed them, it works very smooth. I used silicone lube (dielectic paste from an automotive parts supply store) to lube the threads. I made a small foam ring to go into the bottom of the battery tube also. I prefer it to my Fenix Cree 1AA that I have since sold. Nice small compact size for 1 AA battery. I carry it all of the time.

Bottomline: good output with a nice beam because of the textured reflector
Pros: When you get a good one, this is a terrific little 1xAA pocketlight. The size is a big plus: it is smaller than most AA lights, by a few mm(s). I love the body style and quality: the knurling is strong and covers most of the body. The HAIII is very good. The first time I saw a photo of one, I knew I wanted it. The beam is another strong point---very white and moderately "floody", with decent throw as well. Runtime---also quite good. I got 2 hrs. 25 min. on "high" on a 2700 NiMH AA cell before any noticeable dimming.
Cons: Quality has been inconsistent. Some C-LEs have had problems with loose threads, or with accessing the multi-levels. DX stands behind their products, so that does provide some reassurance. Some people just don't like "twisties", and have said that you have to be very fast to access the multi-levels (I have not had that problem with mine.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I think this is a great buy in 1xAA lights, and I think most owners will value their C-LEs highly.
Bottomline: When I finish this review, I'm buying 2 more---I guess that says it all.
