Pros: Works perfect. Feels very solid. Tiny glass-fibre cable is well protected by a thick shielding against bending, puncture.
The optical end cuts are highly polished, so no diffraction.
Cable is delivered with silicone end caps to protect the fragile glass fibre ends against dirt and fingerprints.
Cons: Purple colour gives the cable a high "Barby" factor. Any other colour would be better (OK, pink, brown and pastel teints are also bad)
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Mettalized ends are nice (optical) but has totally no benefit in signal quality.
Seems OK

Pros: Nice cable of very decent build quality.
Looks more expensive than it is.
Cons: The cable I received actually had chromes plastic parts for the shiny bits.
For me this is not a big issue because I do not intend to change the cabling very often. It could be a consideration if you want to remove the cable on a regular basis, as the fit is quite snug and the chrome probably will wear off quickly.
Other Thoughts: I had some mixes feelings about the way DX ships their products. The fiber arrived undamaged, so no problem here (for me, that is). Better packaging would be nice when shipping fragile items.
Bottomline: OK cable for OK price.
Seems to be a good cable

Pros: Overall solidly built cable
Shiny parts are actually metal, not chromed plastic (I hate chromed plastic)
Comes with tail caps protecting the fiber ends
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: Please keep in mind that I still need to put the cable in use (still need to buy a receiver), thus I can only rate the construction and overall appearance, which anyway seems to be good.
Bottomline: How much would I pay for this one in Brazil? I think any toslink cable will cost me at least USD 10. Considering that this one has shiny metal connectors, it should run for at least USD 15.
