Pros: Works perfectly with any kind of laptop that has dual headphones connector (stereo + mini-toslink), including macbooks as written above.
I'm very satisfied with the audio quality that flaws through it.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I was looking for that kind of cable with more length, and this one is the longer I've found (2 meters).
In my enviorenment, I need this kind of connection between the laptop and reciever to be more than 2 meters sometimes. For that my friends you'll need an adapter named "TOSLINK Extender" which I couldn't find in DealExtreme, but could find it online in some other places.
Bottomline: Worth the price!

Pros: It works as expected in my timeline Acer notebook and the price of this cable makes it a really good deal.
Cons: The normal TOSLINK connector of this cable fits a bit loose on my A/V receiver, but it still works. You have just to be more careful when moving around the cable. Besides, I have a normal TOSLINK cable to connect my LCD TV and it fits perfectly on the receiver and it also seems to be much more robust. However, it cost about two times more than this cable.
Bottomline: It works as it should, even with the small problem at the TOSLINK connector and I wouldn't find it easily and for this price here in Brazil.

Pros: A lot of people don't know this but the MacBook and MacBook Pro's audio ports can be used as optical ports with a Mini-TOSLINK cable.
It worked flawlessly with my HDTV and MacBook Pro.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts:
