Pros: * Charged nicely. * Clips sturdily to my 3GS. * Doesn't look cheap - except for the Apple logo on the USB side (who ever sees that side?), it looks exactly like the original.
Cons: Does not sync data, only supplies power. This is very important if you're looking to use it as an actual USB data cable. Also, doesn't recognize the device as mass storage in Windows.
Other Thoughts: Very cheap, so you can get a couple and just throw it away if it fails. Only for charging from a USB port.
Bottomline: Get a couple, one as a backup.
Pros: This cable does work with the 3G and 3GS. It looks and feels like the ones apple sells. I think that it stays in the device more securely then the apple ones.
Cons: I bought quite a lot of them and only one has died on my so far. I opened it up and fixed it with some electric tape.
Other Thoughts: If you have one and it breaks try fixing it..even if you have no idea what you are doing upon opening it it might be obvious what the problem is and how to fix it.
Bottomline: Its not possible to have to many iPhone cables and and this price you cant go wrong
Pros: When i opened these cables i could swear they were genuine articles, I had to hold it next to a genuine cable to spot the difference, the copy is that good. These cables work, and could fool most into thinking they are genuine iProducts. The plugs seem firmly attached to the cables, and the ipod end has the triangular clips which dont have to be squeezed to be ejected so i dont expect it will be too easy to ruin the connector.
Cons: The cable is standard rubber feel, as opposed to the genuine silicone flexibility.
Other Thoughts: These are fantastic cables. i bought 3 so i could have one everywhere i go.
Bottomline: BUY BUY BUY! I dont see why you would look at this item and NOT buy it (except if you dont have any ipods/iphones, or are some sort of communist hippy)
Pros: - very good quality - can't notice difference between the original (Mac) an this one. - data transfer works perfect: I've even updated my firmware of my iPhone using this cable. - charging of the phone also works without any problem(s)
Cons: - really, there are no cons: its a cable and it works.
Other Thoughts: The cable might be a bit longer, however a long cable won't provide such good data transfer. Order multiple of them, you'll be surprised how often at different locations this cable is usefull.
Bottomline: Very great, I've ordered some for my friends as well! This product is what DX is good at!
