Most of these and other made in China green lasers do not have IR filters and thus can be hazardous to eyes without proper protective eye wear. By all means if you are unsure of what this means get the 5mW version for your safety.

Pros: *Laser beam goes a large distance
*Dot fairly visible in day/night
*Beam cool to look at
*Useful to point at stars at night
 
Cons: *Button is a little loose
*Board not mounted in casing well ( started to twist)
*Beam not visible in daylight
*Goes through batteries like mad
 
Other Thoughts: Love it, planning to buy a more powerful laser soon.

:It is so much fun
:It comes in a nice carry around box
:It comes with batteries!
:Nice black and sleek finish
:Shines for literally MILES
:Puts holes in the foam of the case
:I could go on and on
 
Cons: :Doesnt light matches

:Eats up batteries
:When you shake it you can hear the batteries
Nothing else!
 
Other Thoughts: We need a tripod or something else here and some extra lenses for the beam!Mabe a focusable lens perhaps?

Very visible and dangerous beam

Pros: -Very visible beam in the dark
-great range
-nice black facing
-interesting black box (it is delivered in one)
 
Cons: -the caution label was dropped off
-it is VERY dangerous!
-the clip is a bit to strong, im afraid to break it away if I pull to strong...
 
Other Thoughts: you should not view in the lightpoint on bright materials(or materials, that could reflect the light), it is to bright! you could damage your eyes forever!
 
Bottomline: No toy!
keep it away from children!
and... be careful with it! some people use laserpointers like this to hurt other people!
