Pros: 1. Cheapest stuff I can find from Internet. Can't beat the price2. Good quality, even it's cheap, doesn't mean its quality is bad.
Cons: for this price, definitely there is no con. 20 may be a little too many for my project but I can keep the rest as the backups.
Other Thoughts: It's really cheap and I can't find any better or even equivalent deal anywhere. The local store wanted to charge me $5 for 2 emitters. No way
Bottomline: If you need IR LEDs, definitely should buy here even just need few. Keep the rest as the backups and save $$$$
Pros: they are cheap.you get a lot so you have some reserves if you mess up.the once I used so far all worked.
Cons: there are no specs at all. While they are suposed to emit only IR they emit some visible light too (they are really inefficient)
Other Thoughts: I Bought these for a wii experiment.they worked but not really well.a small datasheet would be helpfull
Bottomline: they are good for cheap experimenting projects (for example for your wii). If you need some decent IR LED's I would recoment to get some decent once at a local store.
Pros: -i think i would be better i they would sell it in packs like 100 or 50 ,these leds worked fine ...and you can find many DIY on web...led has small red light when you power them...
Cons: -i think there are no cons it does what it has to do ....one con that it took 1 month to me to get it , because i thought that my package is lost xD...
Other Thoughts: -well like i said, it would be cool if there were biger choise of packs...
Bottomline: -who likes these things ,should buy these leds because they will come in handy some day....
Pros: No dead LEDs - all worked fine.Good value.Versatile.
Cons: Emits a small amount of visible red light which can be seen if viewing closely, so evidently some power is being wasted. You have to buy current-limiting resistors separately, and they're not yet available from DX.Not the brightest IR LEDs I've seen.
Other Thoughts: I retrofitted a cheap camping light with 24 of these to try and provide night vision for my camera, but they're just not bright enough.
Bottomline: Not the best if you need brightness, but probably good enough for line-of-sight remote control applications.
