Pros: Great adapter, works fine at 100% i already probe it with windows XP, vista and 7 anda works great, its easy to use and until now there is no problem at allUn muy buen adaptador, funciona al 100% en windows XP, vista y 7, es facil de usar y hasta ahora no he tenido ningun problema
Cons: mmmmmmmmmmmmm it would be a good idea to include and extension to the usb, cause the adapter its a little big and use more space than 1 usb slotseria bueno que incluyeran una extension de usb ya que el adaptador es un poco grade y ocupa mucho mas espacio de un solo slot de usb
Other Thoughts: great productGran producto
Bottomline: I really recomend this ina 100%Yo realmente lo recomiendo en un 100%
Pros: I tested this adapter with transmission of data between a PC and a CNC machine. It worked very well and I could put it in 9600 bauds without any problems. When I was installing it, I placed the CD and connected the Adapter and the WinXP find the driver all by itself.
Cons: The CD has a thousand drivers so before I could try to install the adapter, I got lost in the root directory with so many options.I remembered that the driver could be for PL2303 and then I installed the SetCom.exe to correct the COM port used.
Other Thoughts: Getting it to work is easy as you remember to change the COM port order. Generally people forget to change the PC COM1 to another COM port to place the Adapter at COM1. (This is just for comunication with CNC and PLC).
Bottomline: This is a good deal and if you work with old hardware's that require a serial port and don't wanna damage your PC port then you must buy it. I'm going to buy some more...
Pros: Great value, great price.
Cons: I have real problems getting this to work under WindowsXP. Have tried lots of drivers (recommended in reviews, or located via google) and I can't get it to work. Device *IS* detected automatically under Ubuntu (Hardy Heron) just fine. So presumably it is the generic chip people claim it to be. Just a hassle trying to get it to work - for me - under Windows. That aside: decent build quality, but not great. I own an "Ebay" item which is similar, cost $4 and is significantly nicer. And it works under windows, which I
Other Thoughts: I bought 3, thinking it was great value. Strictly speaking, it is great value if they work. I'm not convinced they work.
Bottomline: Probably you are better off getting a slightly more expensive, better build quality, easier to get working unit.
Pros: THIS PRODUCT HAS YOUR FAVOR IN HANDLING FACILITY. IS A CHEAP AND PRACTICAL SOLUTION FOR YOU OWN ANTIQUE ACCESSORIES EXIT WITH SERIAL AND COMPUTER WITH USB INPUTS ONLY.
Cons: DO NOT KNOW IF THAT ENOUGH TO BE RELEVANT BUT FOUND THE PRODUCT WITH APPEARANCE somewhat delicate. NOTHING THAT A LITTLE attention in order to AVOID BREAKING OF WELDING OR BREAKING THE PLATE.
Other Thoughts: THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT IS VERY CHEAP. HERE IN BRAZIL THE VALUE IS AROUND R$ 20.00 WHILE HERE ON THE WEBSITE YOU PAY US$ 2.99.
Bottomline: THIS WAS MY FIRST PURCHASE ON THIS SITE. HAD A FEAR OF NOT RECEIVE ORDER, BUT THE PRICE decided to risk. CAME FROM THE PRODUCT AND THEN MAKE SEVERAL SHOPPING!
