Ownership verified by DX Works as advertised, for a very good price

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: - inexpensive way to connect to wireless G network
- compact, lightweight

Cons: - though compact, it's still bigger than I'd like
- detachable cap easily lost
- included software seems powerful and full featured, but geeky to use
- need to install a separate driver

Other Thoughts: When the internal wireless antenna on my old Dell Inspiron notebook finally broke, I looked for a cheap external alternative. No way I was going to spend $50 on a wireless PC card. I took a chance on this Ralink and it has worked exactly as advertised, for an excellent price. Even without an external antenna, I'm getting 80% signal strength from the second floor of my house.

Bottomline: This is a very inexpensive method to regain wireless connectivity if the one in your notebook has broken. And if it has broken, it's probably because the notebook is very old. That means it doesn't make sense to pay a lot to regain wireless capability of an old, obsolete notebook. Highly recommended for this price.

Ownership verified by DX Best wireless adaptor

Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: It comes in small box with mini CD (in it there is wide range of drivers for the wireless adapters and 5 to 1 audio systems, also sold in DX).
Very simple to install and start using this adapter. One more thing with soft can choose in what type you will use it (you can make it us asses point to share your internet with yours other devices (laptops, PDA, WiFi phones and other) or by switching Ralink software to other mode and connect your PC, laptop to home wirelless network.

Cons: Only one con, it could be a little bit smaller. No other cons detected.

Other Thoughts: It`s a good deal for a small price.

Bottomline: Buy it if you have cell phones or laptop with WiFi and don't want to buy router.
It work`s really fine.

Ownership verified by DX Very good wireless card for the money

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Took less than 2 minutes to install and get up and running on an XP machine, using the driver cd provided.
Also has Linux drivers and support which is always good!
Good build quality

Cons: The plastic housing case could be considered fairly 'large' for today's standards, but it is not really a major problem, unless your usb ports are really close together.

Other Thoughts: The best value wireless card out there

Bottomline: Excellent for the money, the signal hasnt dropped out at all so far.

Pros: Very easy to use, plug it in your USB, select your network and you're direct online!
The signal strenght is very good, i'm on the 2nd floor and i have 80% signal.
I haven't installed the drivers, it works perfectly without the driver on Windows 7!

Cons: Nothing.

Bottomline: I have a Wireless N router and it's compatible with the stick. The speed is great, the same as with a cable.
It's a perfect stick for the price!
