Ownership verified by DX Great value for the price

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: -affordable
-4.3" screen
-sturdy built
-accepts 8gb microSDHC
-plays most video format
-plays most NES, SMD, and some bin roms.

Cons: -camera is mediocre
-songs cannot be sorted via separate folders
-flimsy buttons
-for NES games, Select button functions as Start. and the triangle ? functions as select

Other Thoughts: overall its a good purchase since the main purpose i got this machine is for my old school games/roms and for my kids watching divX or avi movies especially during road trips.

Bottomline: NEs games works very well except for some roms that dont work like PunchOut which is one of my fave game. For NES game controls, Select button functions as Start and the triangle ? functions as select.
I say the built is sturdy since I had seen my kids dropped it a few times. 8GB micro SDHC works well but you can use one data source at a time. I rated it 5 stars because it serves my purpose.

Ownership verified by DX Pretty cool little handheld for the price

Pros: Inexpensive. Sturdy build quality. Bright, well lit 4.3" TFT screen. Plays video files like a champ. NES, Genesis, GB/GBC emulation is superb. TV output for emulation is nice. Buttons and thumbstick are all responsive and the unit fits in your hand as well as a PSP slim does. Camera is better than expected. Save states for ROMs!

Cons: MP3 player doesn't support album art. All videos played will stretch to 16x9. No options for video, emulators. No button remapping for emulators. SNES ROMs work but sluggish (run at full speed with speaker turned off) The BIN games it supports must be their own format as .BIN Genesis games won't work (only .SMD) GBA emulation is hit or miss. Some ROMs work well others don't. No support for NeoGeo, CPS1, CPS2, MAME, etc... Need headphones to use FM radio as headphones act as antenna.

Other Thoughts: Says it comes with a driver CD. It did not. The manual states that you should check their webpage for firmware updates, but there is no manufacturer name, model # or URL anywhere in the manual. Also, the system came in an actual PSP box.

Bottomline: If you want the best multi-system emulation in a portable, this isn't it. Try a Dingoo, or a real PSP. If you want a bigger screen, the ability to view just about any video format, and are content with NES and Genesis emulation, this is it. Grab one. For this price, I'm happy with what I received.

Ownership verified by DX Great video playback, acceptable games playing.

Pros: excellent screen - same resolution and size as my psp fat but much higher contrast/brightness without the blur. Plays games. Plays videos without a hitch. supports my 8gb uSDHC card. psp style analogue controller works same as d-pad. all buttons work. even shoulder buttons.

Cons: average china quality build. A little too flimsy for playing games. buttons and controller spongy, typical china design and build when a big company doesnt back them up. soft plastic screen protector. its not hard like psp. you can push it in. Menu is SLOW!! about half a second delay and also confusing. you select what you want using select button instead of other buttons.

Other Thoughts: It does what it says it does. It plays videos really well.. esp. RMVB, MP4. no brightness control - supports TV out in PAL and NTSC. Supports MD, SNES, GBC, GB, that i tested to work. EMUs support 1 save state and restore. snes button mapping is bit strange. all emus use start to exit. in snes select is start, but there is no select. other buttons map. auto frame skip. emu performance is comparable to dingoo A320. MD is better than dingoo. SNES is about the same. All games and video play resized to full screen only- this is same for videos.

Bottomline: Great for video playback. everything is resized to fit in full screen only. no other options. has bookmark when exit video. Havne t tested battery life yet. again.. I got it for video playback and am very satisfied with it.
