Pros: - It works with Windows and Linux- Some Windows Installations automatically installs- It is plug and play in Ubuntu GNU/Linux and Suse GNU/Linux (i just tested on that..)- The distance that it works is not a problem... It is normal- It is very useful to sync with your mobile devices...- It is very useful to send files from one pc to other pc or device. But the average speed is 40kb/s
Cons: - It is very useful to send files from one pc to other pc or device. But the average speed is 40kb/s (NOT SO FAST)- Bluetooth is slower than LAN ! LOL Off-course!- Mine came with a not working drivers cd
Other Thoughts: - If you know the limitations of bluetooth and still want to get an adapter, buy this, it does the work easy
Bottomline: Buy bluetooth dongles and stay connected with a lot of new mobile devices of everyday life
Pros: Good price, not bad size, hardware seems to work.
Cons: The BlueSoleil sofware coming with the device is a useless evaluation version and XP's built-in drivers don't seem to support audio transfer which is what I bought it for. Yep you can google for hacked versions but better not give any value for your time.. The real BlueSoleil is something like ~100MB package apparently behind a 56k modem and they had put some considerably effort to make it easy looking (big icons etc, you know) enough I couldn't figure out how to do something useful. Tried to get Broadcom I'm familiar with but didn't have enough hours or nerves to get it working.
Other Thoughts: Might be fine for file transfer, for audio reserve some more cash or several hours for getting Broadcom drivers.
Bottomline: Would have bought a $10 version that includes proper drivers if I had known.
Pros: Small, has a green diode that helps you find it in the dark, tested on range of up to 15 meters on open and 5 meters in concrete building with steel support... easy to use and easy to install, tested with windows XP, windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu.
Cons: no cons, welllll...it could have been a bit cheaper, but its ok!
Other Thoughts: no other thoughts
Bottomline: Works fine with latest operating systems, and latest specialized 3rd party software. I reached pretty high transfer speeds with it and got it to work on high range for this type of device (cheap device). Looks pretty cool and shiny, you might say classy :)
Pros: Nice looking, its not that small like the popular dongle so you can see it good and its easy-to-use.Also there is a green light indicator when the Dongle is active thats a big pro for me..
Cons: You cant sent mulitple files at once to the dongle. You have to do it single handed one by one.
Other Thoughts: There is a instalation CD-Rom included but i didnt had to use it because when i plugged my dongle in my computer it instals itself.
Bottomline: Nice dongle for a nice price but there are better dongles on DX. For this money its a nice one!
