Ownership verified by DX Update to "Decent Blackberry Clone"

Pros: You can re-order the main menu icons!
Can use a custom ringtone.

Cons: Camera is NOT 1.3 MP. I overlooked the settings and I can confirm it is only 0.3 MP (or 300K).
No custom message tone ability.
Can't assign a specific ringtone for each contact.
No speed dial (can't assign a number to a specific number key for quick dialing). I seriously wish there was speed dial as I've become reliant on it for my most called contacts.

Other Thoughts: I managed to figure out how to get my 2 GB microSD to work. After changing out the card, you MUST restart the device or else, the OS won't properly read from the card.

Bottomline: .

Pros: It's a very nice clone of what looks to be the Blackberry 8900 "Javelin", though it has a resistive touch screen, has a button where the scroll wheel button should be, and the Curve's keyboard.
The screen is bright, vibrant, and sound output is clear and maximum is more than sufficient for any noise environment. The camera is indeed 1.3 MP, not 300K. It takes some pretty good pictures.
Build-wise, the back cover is comprised of a thin coffee colored brush-textured aluminum and plastic interior. The rest of the body is also a mixture of aluminum and plastic and the phone overall has the same sturdy and hefty feel and weight the original Javelin has.

Cons: The touch screen is a bit wonky and with the included stylus, it'll take several tries with the smaller interface buttons before a click will register. For the most part, you can get away with using the arrow keys on the keyboard to scroll menus and select items. In rare instances, you'll need to use the touch screen for buttons or menu items not in the normal flow.
I can't see to get my 2 GB Kingston microSD card to work and it seems the device is hardcoded for the included 1 GB. Also the device uses some unknown file system that I have not figured out yet (doesn't seem to be FAT/FAT32).
No JAVA as far as I can see. There's no customization option for it in any of the menus and the single picture puzzle game doesn't seem to be coded in JAVA.
One other finicky thing: (while in Multitap abc - lowercase abc) shift button lets you use the special characters and doesn't make a capital letter. Instead, you must tap the up-arrow-A button on the touchscreen.

Other Thoughts: I successfully paired my Plantronics 340 BT headset quickly and easily. Though it suddenly disconnected after sending a SMS message. Don't know why yet. Otherwise, I've had a 3 hour long conversation (half on the phone, and half on the BT headset) and didn't have any problems.
Keyboard lock is possible by hitting the Blackberry button and then A (the same key combo for unlock).

Bottomline: I was hoping for a text editor app so I can type out short documents, but unfortunately, there is none. At ~$98, it's a 90% clone of a Blackberry (more of a mashup of the best features of each BB). It'll hold me until I can save up for a real Blackberry (or some other QWERTY phone).
I'll upload some photos of mines since the backplate differs from the DX photos and upload more shots of the interface.

Ownership verified by DX Great phone! I love it!

Pros: 1) The phone came with the Blackberry Logo (so weird that you can see it's not the real thing)
2) Internet works fine on this phone. I can use MSN and Twitter :P
3) There is Java on this phone!!!
4) Sound quality is pretty good
5) The user's manual came in English!
6) Cool feature the phone have shake control for the music player and the phone background
7) Dual sim works fine

Cons: 1) The camera quality is poor
2) There's only one game on the phone
3) No Wifi

Other Thoughts: It's cheap and looks great!

Bottomline: If you want a phone with a QWERTY keyboard then this is the one. It's very handy in use! I'm really happy with my purchase!
