Ownership verified by DX Cheap led driver

Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Item is good everything works. Even surprised that it is so small. It is very easy to connect. It is easy to change resistor if it is need. It is easy to change resistor if need to change. It works with 3 1.5 V batteries. Useful device and cheaper than building your own.
* Small size fits easily into projects as well as flashlights

Cons: Probably of mail sender's side crashed the top of the coil sides. But this is nothing. Only problem is that the card is heating.

Other Thoughts: Diameter is 16.5-17 mm
Height is 3.8 mm

Bottomline: Value for money is good and really is a better option than the same solder such small details.

Pros: It works on a single Li-ion or a 12v battery.
It drives between 1 to 1.2A (depends on LED and power source)
None have failed yet
Board diameter fits P60 drop-ins.

Cons: Gets a little warm

Other Thoughts: I have used these on a single Li-ion torch and also in out side lighting on 12v (for our stables). Since buying my first last year, none have failed. None of my Cree Q5s have burnt out yet either, but good heat sinks are needed at 1.2A.

Bottomline: Its a good cheap driver just to have around. I always keep a few in stock for those quick projects.
If you do any torch mod-ing or are into efficient LED lighting, try these. Don't want to drive your LED at 1.2A, simply use 2 LEDs in parallel for 600mA each.

Pros: These are good boards based on AX2002 step down converter chip.
It is easy to modify their output current, just change the value on the largest resistor on the board or replace the same sense resistor with a pot.
Uses adequate components like a SS34 for rectifying diode.
Soldering is notably better than what I've seen on many other cheap regulators.

Cons: From what I've seen all AX2002 based converters lose efficacy if output current is set to less than 1000mA

Other Thoughts: Diameter is 16.5-17 mm
Height is 3.8 mm
Preset current is 1.25A (0.2 Ohm sense resistor)
PWM dimmable through pin 2 (EN)
Really easy thing to do actually, just desolder a single SMD resistor and solder a wire for PWM input
To calculate sense resistor value for a specific current you use the formula 0.25/I = R
Example: If I want 1.5 A output current I calculate the sense resistor value like this, 0.25/1.5= ~0.17 ohm sense resistor.

Bottomline: Excellent regulator, very easy to use and offers efficient, robust operation.
