Staff assessment:

It is ideal for home, office, and travellers as it doesn't require much space to operate and won't interfere with any typing actions. It works by strapping to the index finger with button operated by the thumb. Work on any textured surface, such as clothes, pants, just like regular optical mouses.

In real life testing, we found that it takes a while to get used to a "vertical" finger operated mouse due to the fact that most computer users have never dealt with something like this. You'll need to learn to point it at a consistent angle, and also the way to use your thumb to operate the two buttons.

Mouse resolution is good for typical operations. Don't plan to use it with photoshop or action games though -- get a full-blown mouse instead. This is supposed to be a spacer saving and novel gadget that works.

Once you get used to it though (which should be fairly quick), you'll love the little operating space it takes. A must have gadget for frequent travellers who hate tiny touchpads and even more tiny IBM track sticks. You'll find it especially useful in space-contrained situations such as travelling on buses, trains, and planes.

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: more than 1 month

Ease of Use: starstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: Very different from other mice. Everyone is supprised when they see it. Can be used in the car and almost everywhere. Lightweight.
Buttons seem to be built good. Also the cord has very good quality.

Cons: In the beginning the light emitter inside the mouse was directing on a wrong angle and it didn't work. Opened it up and almost broke it when adjusting and trying it out, but it works now.
Works on most surfaces, but not on all. The arrow starts jumping around when I'm using it on some of my trouser knees.

Other Thoughts: For some people it's easyer to use for some harder. But I think it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Bottomline: Surfing in the internet is better compared to the touchpad.
Everyone notices when you're using it - for some people it's a big plus.

Pros: It's a nice and cool gadget, and its fun showing others.
It works better then expected. The buttons are quite easy to handle.
It doesn't take a long time before you can handle it.
Works even on my keyboard, so I wont have to lift my hand anymore to get my mouse :D

Cons: A normal mouse works better.
Maybe it's decreasing the lifetime of my 'K' button :P

Other Thoughts: none

Bottomline: As said, it is fun to show to others.
I bought it for a friend, but i think im gonna buy another one for myself :)

Pros: I was quite skeptical of this product when I first ordered it, but after been using it in a business trip I have found that the product not only works great, but is quite a conversation topic. I think this mouse should be only used for laptops/netbooks as in larger spaces a conventional mouse is much more convenient
The packaging is really good

Cons: Takes time to get used to the weight in your finger when typung
the velcro seems that will loose grip

Other Thoughts: Great proce for a good gadget

Bottomline: really liked it

Pros: - Innovative
- Doesn't require a flat surface
- Accepts for example your pants as surface
- It's actually fairly precise
- Buttons are well in reach of the thumb

Cons: - Takes a fair while to get used to, you need to figure which way of holding it works the best for you
- Won't work on hard edges for me, because you need to have the optical sensor flat on the surface which is uncomfortable
- Blocks your blood-flow which causes your fingers to feel very cold after some use

Other Thoughts: I use this with my laptop. It's a great solution when you have to work without a desk, for example on the train or plane. Or on the couch, in my case. A wireless version (I know that's available on DX) that would fit better on your finger and doesn't block the blood flow would be great.

Bottomline: Must-have if you travel a lot using your laptop, or somehow else find yourself in situations where you don't have a mouse surface at hand.
