Ownership verified by DX Good, small low cost player

Pros: This player is very small.
Comes with earphones and USB cable in small case.
Waht a surprise - it plays OGG files.
Life time is acceptable - I got more than 3 hours, maybe if I will charge it longer I will get more.
It pauses the song when you shut it down.

Cons: Player is repeating songs when it acieves end of file list.
None big cons so far.

Other Thoughts: Blue led is little annoying is the dark, but this can be fixed.
Apple logo on back.

Bottomline: Player In aluminium case.
Good for this price. 2 Gb size. Very small.

Pros: Works like a shuffle. Looks like a shuffle. Doesn't require the stupid proprietary headphones Apple requires on their shuffle. Bought three for my buddies... One for my self as little stocking stuffer christmas gifts. Plug and play with Windows Media Player. Pretty decent sound (on something other than the stupid stock headphones).
SUPER TINY.

Cons: One of the unit's buttons get stuck under the face plate sometimes. Which can lead to mistakenly turning up the volume to an uncomfortable level.
I ordered a couple under differnt SKU's; for the colors. With this particular color (and only this one)... It apparently often comes defective (as mine did). But DX was very responsive when I told them about it and addressed the issue by sending me a working model.
NO SHUFFLE MODE. Only sequence... Would've been nice had there been one. But it remembers your track when you shut it off as to not repeat it.

Other Thoughts: If you need a cheap, small, screenless mp3 player... And don't care about the shuffle mode; get it.

Bottomline: The only thing that compares for the price is the Sansa Clip (refurb) that I bought a few months ago (for $10 more) which had the benifit of a screen.

Ownership verified by DX Excellent mp3 player with a few minor gripes

Pros: Looks like a real 3rd generation Ipod Shuffle. The size of this mp3 player is also incredibly small (about the size of an AA battery) and lightweight which makes it perfect to use for biking or exercising. The belt clip hooks the player securely to your clothing and does not fall off. The controls are also very simple:
Skip forward to next track: Press +
Skip back to previous track: Press -
Volume up: Press and hold +
Volume down: Press and hold -
Adding music is also very simple... just drag and drop!

Cons: There is no track shuffle or repeat and you can not scan forwards or backwards an audio track. Mp3 files with a high bitrate may have audio playback problems. I found 128 and 196kbps play perfectly but 320 bitrate files create a constant "static sputter" noise during playback. Player also had a slight connection problem. To connect to your USB, you need to first turn the unit on, connect the data cable and then plug the cable into your computer's USB port. Sometimes it will detect the USB connection and sometimes it won't. I have two of these mp3 players and the problem occured with both units. On two separate ocasions, my music were also mysteriously erased after charging. I believe both incidents were caused by over-charging the unit. Fortunately, another DX member suggested I use SKU.02649 to charge the unit more easily.

Other Thoughts: Earphones are standard "iPod-style" earphones, nothing special. I switched to noise-cancelling "earbud" earphones and the sound quality was even better. The unit I received was 2gb but when I reformatted it, the capacity increased to 4gb.

Bottomline: If you're looking for a lightweight mp3 player to use while exercising or travelling and prefer simple controls, this is a good choice.

Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: -Extremely long battery
-lots of songs, can hold around 500 at 4MB a piece
-Simple controls
-very affordable
-kind of auto shuffles on its own
-small
-surprisingly durable long lasting headphones
-fast changing time

Cons: -Can't go really loud for us metal listeners
-charger is black not white like the headphones

Other Thoughts: Change the charger/data cable to white with the silver model
Have bigger GB sizes, 4GB, 8GB,16GB, ect.
I would really want to see a remote song changer on the headphones

Bottomline: This is a must have not a "ummm" ill think about it. At this price it is a great clone easier to use than the one from Apple just drag and drop. Wonderful in size must just get it to check it out, seriously its only 14.25!
