Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstar
Usefulness: starstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstar

Pros: Great games to play with, a lot of oldskool NES games like Sonic and Alex the Kidd.
Plug an play; you just simply plug the RGB pins in your tv, torn the device on and you're ready to go!

Cons: When I played with it, it was broke from the beginning. Could only play for like 25 secs and then it resetted itself. So be carefull, build quality is poor.
It would be nice to have an ability to expand the games collection. If it can hold 20 games, why not upgrade it to 100?

Bottomline: Awesome gadget to play with, relive your gaming youth by playing these games

Pros: - Wonderful built quality. Everything from the packaging down to the button placing and the materials is brilliant. Looks and feels "expensive".
- Long AV cable: 3 meters!
- Very good selection of games. No rubbish "filler" games.
- Responsive controls
- Small and portable

Cons: - AAA batteries instead of AA, but that allows for a smaller total size
- 1 player only

Other Thoughts: It is much smaller than I expected but it is still big enough for me to hold comfortably (I do have rather large hands). The built quality is very impressive. It looks and feels much more expensive than it really is. The controls are responsive and the Reset and Power buttons are placed out of the way so that you do not press them accidentally (at least not often). Very good games throughout. Probably the weakest ones are Altered Beast and Golden Axe since these are arcade games ported to 8 bit consoles. All the other games are lots of fun.

Bottomline: Ideal inexpensive gift for any retrogamer you might know.

Pros: - It has most of Alex Kidd's games';
- It's truly licensed by ATGAMES, the company that takes care of old school game licenses from SEGA;
- It's cheap and it's not emulation, feels like the real videogame when you play it;
- At least half of the games are very fun and playable, like Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Psycho Fox and all Alex Kidd's.

Cons: - Half of the games (specially the Sonic ones) are the Game Gear versions, not the Master System ones, and the GG versions have lower resolution (but more complex and colorful graphics);
- It does not come with free batteries, nor rechargeable ones;
- Master System games may not be that much fun for stubborn NES Fan Boys (hahaha, just teasing);
- No California Games or R-Type, I love those games!

Other Thoughts: If you miss your old Master System and/or Game Gear games, this item will trully put a smile on your face. The same goes to old school gamers: It'll be a wonderful gift.

Bottomline: Buy it dude! It's official stuff (from what I've seen and read), plus it's very well built, and small enough to fit into one's pocket, purse, drawer, car glove's compartment and so on.
