Mosquito Repeller

Pros: - It's solar powered, so you don't have to worry about changing batteries. Let it with the solar sensor facing to a window. No need to put it directly receiving sunlight.


Cons: - The recharging battery is a Ni-CD one. This kind of batteries are obsolete and even worse: THEY ARE VERY ENVIRONMENT UNFRIENDLY. They contain cadmium, a toxic metal, so be sure to recycle them when they became useless.
- Internal bad quality build.


Other Thoughts: - Mine is red color.


Bottomline: - I'm not sure if they work well as a mosquito repeller.

Pros: Solar power is great,you never have to worry if the batteries will work.Just leave it in the sun,(by a window indoors)and use when needed.

Cons: Internal build quality is a little low,loads of heat glue stuck inside.I also would suggest moving the piezzo(sound generator)to the top of the device.
There is a bracket for it,and an opening in the top of the case for the piezzo.Why tape it to the bottom??
Be carefull when relocating,as wires are very short.

Other Thoughts: I got a red,and a blue one(I thought they were white)
Funny thing they both seem to emit a slightly different tone.Hope this means they will be more effective against several different species.

Bottomline: No batteries and no mosquitos?? What a great combination!!

Pros: 1. Works well for about 50ft. First have to open up and tape the piezo on the top instead of on bottom.
2. Charge during the day and use it at night. Also useful in the house.

Cons: 1. Battery came loose from glue and disconnected the wires, I had to resoder the wires.
2. Annoying constant buzz.

Other Thoughts: Great for BBQ and outdoor parties. Citranela candles are useless if there is wind and bug zapper is just not good enough.

Bottomline: Buy them if you go outdoors a lot or just keep one in your home to keep the mosquitos away.

Pros: For anyone who camps, bar-b-q's, lives in the south, this is a must have. Works just like commercial versions I've seen. No need to plug in, take it where you go.

Cons: Not the most durable design ever. Also, as others have noted, mine also had the piezo located on the ottom. After relocating it became MUCH louder.

Other Thoughts: I suggest a few of these to surround your area. While they advertise 100 ft range, for the price, I'd rather just have a few more. Not like you have to buy batteries for them all the time.

Bottomline: Buy a few if you go out in the summer!
