Pros: It's exactly what i was looking for. it's extremely easy to use and has a very good sound (for it's price). there might be better ones on the market, but who cares?
it runs very long on battery-power. i use it now for three days nonstop and there's no end in sight.
despite what another reviewer wrote it has an usb-port. it's only a not so well known standard. just google for "usb mini-b 4 pin" (also known as "hirose usb").
Cons: to be honest i found no cons.
ok, it looks a bit cheap but that's all.
Other Thoughts: additional usb-a to mini-b would be find 'cause it's hard to find.
if your device sounds bad you should select a __really__ empty channel.
Bottomline: it works fine and it's really worth buying.
Still good value for money!

Pros: - Much improved build quality
- Works well
- Crisp sound
- Choice of power sources (2xAAA batteries, 12v cigarette lighter, USB)
- Backlight is nice and bright
- Good frequency stability
- Reasonable range (20-30m)
Cons: - Range + sound quality not quite as good as previous SKU.3102 purchased in 2007
Other Thoughts: I bought SKU.3102 in July 2007. The last one I bought had excellent range and sound quality but poor build quality. That said, it lasted almost 2 years before finally breaking, and I should be able to repair the old one.
The new one is the same shape i.e. a Belkin TuneCast clone, but I wonder if it's from a different factory. The build quality is excellent. The casing fits properly and the buttons feel nice.
However, the range is quite poor compared to the previous one (it starts to drop out at around 25m) and the sound quality is slightly worse than my old one (but still very good).
Given some of the legalities re: power output etc, the combination of better build quality + reduced range is a good thing. I can't see this one breaking any time soon.
Bottomline: Still highly recommended, but for completely different reasons this time around.
Not a USB

Pros: Nice looking, easy to use, well build
Cons: Despite the fact that power connector
1) looks like USB on the photographs (trapezoidal shape),
2) claimed to be USB on the packaging (big official USB logo)
3) has usb-compatible voltage (5V)
4) has official USB2.0 logo printed on the connector, it is not a USB but some kind of crappy proprietary connectors like one of those used on most cellphones in the last 10 years.
Other Thoughts: I 'm going to find some spare mini usb connectors and rewire both power adapter and the unit to be USB.
Bottomline: worth buying, but I should have read the reviews more carefully
Works well (10m range)

Pros: Works as described.
10m range (through walls, etc). After 10 metres is falls off (slightly shorter through thick brick walls).
Fine acceptable quality with batteries or from usb supply from old linux laptop or Macbook (given sensible signal level).
Easy to configure.
Same quality as ones bought locally for $30-60.
Cons: Quality could be better (fine for price).
Range longer (could be illegal).
No USB (power) cable.
At times some slight interference from people moving in front of radios.
Other Thoughts: I was going to buy another for my car (am using this one for the house... 4 rooms and outside) but have decided to try another product with a built in mp3 (USB source) player (SKU 10130)
Bottomline: Good cheap product. Perfect for an mp3 server distributed around the house using old/general radios assuming you're not that fussy about high fidelity quality.
