Pros: This LED is awesome! Only takes 3V to light, yet I can drive it stock with 80mA-100mA continuous (3.6-3.8V) and it's super bright. It handles more current than a 5mm LED, which makes it much more intense. If you solder a piece of copper wire to the negative terminal of the LED to heatsink it, it's even safer for much more current. I can run 140mA @4V constant with heatsinking the LED. Fantastic LED!!!
Cons: None at all!
Other Thoughts: This LED is being used in pairs (with resistors and other parts) to replace 4W incandescent 12VAC bulbs in a yard lighting system. The goal is energy savings, and more appealing, brighter white light. Also will use a cluster for a bicycle headlight.
Bottomline: These LED's are for hard-driving! They are similar to a 5mm at normal currents of 20mA, but when you crank them up, they are blindingly impressive, and don't burn out at well over 100mA! (don't push your luck of course, but I've not burned out any of them at all)
Pros: Very good led emitters. I have used its not only in key chains, but in some home devices.
Cons: None

Bottomline: Have made home decoration from it. Buy it if you know what to do with them :)
Pros: Bought a batch of 10 units in a pack and used them to replace some of the LEDs in the 10mm keychain flashlights which either had poor focusing or discoloured yellowish or bluish beam spots. These LEDs can withstand a direct voltage drive of 6V without any current limiting and projects a beam spot at least 10 feet away quite clearly in a dark alley.
Cons: The quality of these LEDs are slightly poor as the beam spots are not focused correctly and the beam spot is sometimes either yellowish white or bluish white. Intensity also differs quite a fair bit between the 10 units.
Other Thoughts: None that I can think of.
Bottomline: I prefer the 22000mcd 5mm LEDs as they are much b righter and give an even beam spot 10 feet away but at a lower intensity, however, for reading usage these 10mm LEDs are definitely not good.
Pros: VERY good price, especially if you're buying bulk, bright LED.
Cons: These do need a resistor at 4.5 volts. The last bunch of white LED's I bought (from a different vendor) didn't require any resistance at that voltage. Well, I plugged one of these into the device I have my other LED's rigged up to, and promptly burnt it out. No worries, though. There are plenty more where that came from.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have DX supply packs of cheapie resistors to go along with these.
Bottomline: I love toying with LEDs, and this is the best price I've ever found these at.
