Ownership verified by DX I'm not impressed...

Pros: + Looks like a real iPod.
+ Light weight.
+ Easy to use, the menu is just like an iPod.
+ Quite cheaper than the real one.
+ The battery capasity is all right, app. 7-8 hours.
+ OK camera.
+ Plenty storage place for average use.
+ Works with real iPod merch.

Cons: - The earphones really suck. Probably the worst ones I have ever tried out.
- I'm really missing the shuffle function...
- Sometimes shuts off when I put it down on the table.
- The wheel is quite cheap and hard to push.
- Screen is "loose" and turns black sometimes.

Bottomline: OK player for 30 bucks. Looks cheap and acts cheap - because it is cheap. But some new earphones and this will work fine.

Pros: Great clone of the fifth gen ipod touch. The camera works well. It looks like an ipod and so do the menus. The clickwheel works great, although it looks and feels cheap. I like how it comes with genuine looking old ipod headphones. and ipod style usb cable. I used it in windows XP SP3 with no issues or any drivers needed. Functions as a usb flash drive.

Cons: headphones were very light and cheap, i just used my other headphones. MAybe DX should include headphones that look and feel like the current ipod headphones.

Other Thoughts: Maybe a higher capacity version should be offered.

Bottomline: Great product for the price.

Ownership verified by DX Could have been much better.

Pros: Looks like an IPOD. The menus scroll just like the original. Decent accelerometer function as well.
Works with the same IPOD charger/usb.
Plenty of storage space.
Plays music and video (many formats). Video looks great (for a 1.5 inch screen)
FM Radio is the best I've used on a portable device.

Cons: Painfully slow data transfers.
Both USB and headphones provided didn't work, had to barrow roommates IPOD USB to transfer tracks.
Can't turn the "Shake to Skip track" function off. I'm not even sure why it has this feature: if I want to skip tracks I'll push the darn button. MAKES THIS PRODUCT IMPOSSIBLE TO USE WHILE JOGGING. Every step you take skips the track.
Has the "Coverflow" feature but no art shows up; again useless; the product slows everything down if you accidentaly get into the coverflow view and you have to shake it a few times to get off of the mode (which will skip to the next track).
Automatically shuts off after four songs everytime when in shuffle mode (but no other mode) despite turning the "powersave" option off. Very frustrating, because it takes 10 to 15 seconds to turn it on again.
Will not save your place in a playlist/album if you turn it off and on again.

Other Thoughts: If you break down display by "Artists" "Album" or "Playlist" everything displays fine; but if you display "All Songs" it shows up with the file name (i.e. "Hard Day's Night" from the Beatles looks like, "02 Hardday$%sNight.mp3 as it would be in windows explorer): feels tacky.

Bottomline: The FM Radio is great, as well as the video player. If all you plan on doing with the device is those two features, you won't go wrong.
It looks and feels really good with exact clone "IPOD" menus. Good build "alloy" quality.
Everything else is frustrating and cumbersome. For the price I HIGHLY recommend getting something else. I don't typically rant on product reviews but this product doesn't pass my (already low) standards.

Ownership verified by DX Definitly not an iPod

Pros: At first glance you would think it is the real thing. They have tried to copy the real menus as best that they can, and for the most part they all work in a near perfect copy of an actual Nano (Wheel like function and all). Being able to charge the unit with any (Real) cable from Apple is a plus, and this will also charge if placed in an iPod dock.
So to break down the features:
Music - Plays with like characteristics of a Nano, and acceptable quality.
Video - 320x240 (standard for these) plays very well.
Pictures - Look ok (1024x768 resized with no problems).
FM radio - LOL... Well it's there.
Video and camera - very low quality but clear.

Cons: Now for all its flaws:
Build quality is first and foremost its biggest flaw. Looks like a Nano, just don't actually pick it up and feel it. Of course for the price this is NOT an Apple product, IT'S A NOCK-OFF!
Menus TRY and look like Apple.
The screen has terrible viewing angles with light bleed at the edges where it meets the aluminum housing. Wheel and buttons have a very cheep feel to them.
Will not play music through an ipod dock, only the headphone jack.
Software on disk has no menu to know what to install and what not to.
Ear phones - LOL... again.
My last real gripe is that although it offers a "cover flow" like look when in landscape mode, neither (landscape or Portrait) mode actually shows album cover art, only a "Music note" like when you don't have any album artwork (Even if there is).

Other Thoughts: 2 Gb internal memory really isn't much but if you just need a cheap player with a couple of extras like a Nano, and don't want the expense, then it's not bad.
Have not had it long enough to comment on battery life.

Bottomline: Bottom-line: Cheap! No matter how you slice it. Still does everything it claims. Looks like something more. And really doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Would be a good gift for a young kid who wants an MP3 player - but is known for loosing things. No big lose.
