Pros: bought the bug zapper (sku 03441, also highly recommended) but didn't pay enough attention to see it needed D batteries.
I'm still amazed i was able to buy 2 of these with shipping for under $4!!
My 2 rechargeable AA batteries fit nicely so I don't have to buy expensive rechargeable D batteries. I'll never by D batteries again, just more of these!!

Cons: clip that snaps case shut feels a bit flimsy but will be fine if you are a little careful

Other Thoughts: with AA batteries always going on sale and it's easy to find bulk packages, it's much much more economical to only buy AA batteries. But for some items you need D batteries, this product is perfect!

Bottomline: Absolutely recommended, I plan to buy more myself!!

Pros: great price. the only converters i've found that use two AA's and not one, and the best price.

Cons: the hinge parts might be a bit flimsy, but that remains to be seen with time.

Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: we have a rather large supply of partially used AA batteries from work, so this has been a great way to put them to use. i use these in my Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner's virtual walls, and they work great. after making sure they would work, i came back and bought more. the 2-packs are a bit better priced.

Pros: I like the fact this can use one or two AA batteries. My kid's swing uses 3 D cell batteries, and using regular single AA cell rechargables didn't seem to give it enough juice. With these I can double the amperage output.

Cons: The hinge and snap feel a little flimsy, but I doubt I'll take the batteries in and out that often. If they do, I'll just tape it together.

Other Thoughts: I bet you could just throw these in a D cell recharger and it would work fine, so you wouldn't have to worry about breaking the hinge or snap.
Would be nice to offer 4 packs of these for a discount too...

Bottomline: It does what it's supposed to, seems like a good value to me considering the price of rechargable D cell batteries (especially given most have the same capacity as AA rechargables...)

Pros: - It can handle 1 or 2 AA's.
- When using two, it's in parallel so it doubles the capacity.


Cons: - They could have easily made it fit 3 batteries but didn't.
- Hinge does feel fragile.

Other Thoughts: - Can be used as a bracket for charging 14500 batteries using a non-14500 charger.

Bottomline: - Good alternative to buying D alkalines.
