Pros: Small, bright, great build quality, good seals, awesome runtime. I measured the runtime with Soshine protected 18650 3.7V 2800mAh lithium batteries (sku.28678) and it lasted at useful brightness for 2 hours and 48 minutes. After that it went dim and started blinking a little, and at 2 hours and 50 minutes it shut down completely. So it was much much better than I expected. Manufacturer rated 50 minutes runtime was (for once) too pessimistic!

Cons: Edges of the assault crown are bit sharp. It might damage the pocket you are carrying this light in.

Other Thoughts: This light has nice soft edged bright center area in the light pattern. Not good for long throw, but very good for close range.

Bottomline: This must be one of the best things I have bought from Dealextreme. Five stars!

Pros: okay i have many torches too many all the very well known brands with r2 leds and p7 so have torches to compare this too , and taking into account how efficient it is it blows everything away lovely white light amzing how the hot spot changes very evenly into flood no cree rings, if it was water tight would make a perfect bike light on its own for road use or to complement a bar light for off road i have one of the trout lumen liberators and the colour is simular and even

Cons: ok the end of the torch would only turn once wher the clickie had not been turned in enough its plastic had not come loose just not put in right but thats easily fixed just turned it a few times , also the glass lens is too small when you undo the assult crown which is what holds the lense in against a o ring you need to make sure u centralise the lense before turning the crown back onto it. the led is not even close to being central but that has no effect on the visible beam pattern

Other Thoughts: run time seems very good finish is amazing does not seem to get very hot which may mean due to the drop in style of the module its not transfering heat very well but that said this is small enough just about to use as a edc its not quite tough enough for a work light but it is now my favourite light my advice is buy one have got many lights from d x this is my first review its such a good light , it does not have quite the throw of the r 2 but its still a thrower but what you really need is even light that way your eye can focus

Bottomline: the two rubber rings really help to hold the toch in the way you would hold a cigar ,
