Pros: It´s really compact and easy to carry. Most people will probably mistake it for a calculator.I use it for work (I send little parcels by mail all the time) and it´s just what I needed.
Cons: - It can be TOO small, you might want to use a tall tray if you want to weight things that are bigger than the scale itself.- I can´t seem to remove the lid without pulling the display out as it´s extremely loose.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Get it! Not only I would never be able to find anything like this in my country, but they would have charged me at least double if what it costs through Deal Extreme.
Pros: This is follow up to my earlier review, so same pros as before.
Cons: Low quality build.Flimsy contacts, LCD started to flicker after a month or so of use.Very sensitive, handle with lots of care.
Other Thoughts: My scale died after I accidentally dropped it on the floor from about 1m hight. It seems to be impossible to open without breaking so I'd say it's totalled. Before that I was starting to have problems when turning the scale on. It seems that contacts are quite flimsy and gradually deteriorate with every open/close action. Many times LCD would show an error after being turned on and I had to reset it a couple of times before it would set itself to zero.
Bottomline: I think the pop-up controls is a cute, but flawed feature that results in lower quality and gradual death of this scale.
Pros: Small sizeHigh precision: 0.1gHigh upper limit: 2kg (2000g)Accurate: +-0.1gStylish: black body w/ stainless steel top and translucent cover that doubles as trayEasy to use: back lit display, straight forward operation.Neat design: spring loaded pop-out display and buttons.Functions: tare, multi-unit display, calibration, auto-tare detection.Mine came with four AA batteries and an English manual.
Cons: The pop-out tray is a bit flimsy and doesn't extend completely by itself.
Other Thoughts: I really like the auto-tare function - this scale automatically takes in account the weight of the object on top after it is turned on, i.e. I can place a larger tray on top while the scale is off, turn it on and it will be showing zero.I would suggest that DX automatically include a calibration weight sku.15761 with a scale priced over $20, it would definitely "sweetened the deal".
Bottomline: This is an excellent kitchen scale with high precision and high upper weight limit. It's a bit pricey for DX, but I'd say it's worth it. I really like this scale.
Pros: I work with small parts. And lately i had the need to weight them, so, been around looking for one scale that is sensible enough for weighting one or two grams, bought one of these, and i'm absolutly satisfied! My work has improved a lot.The accuracy of the scale is fantastic, it has a protective cover in plastic and the controls are in a drawer, very smooth. In Portugal one of this scales is very expensive, and ugly... about 100$!!!!!
Cons: none!
Other Thoughts: Ok so i'm a girl and accuracy for me it's not enough, i tell you this it's a very stylish black scale! Looks great in my atelier! Girls talk!
Bottomline: Bought it! i'm extremely happy with it, and i don't use the leather cover it came with... i wanna show off!
