Pros: P-4 is a good upgrade, or a mod for older lights.it has a bright white light.also a good led upgrade for the first time modifier.(like i was when i used it)it's very affordable.fairly easy to mod if you can do basic soldering, and some epoxying.comes polarized on the aluminum 16mm disc/base.still easy on batteries if using an exsisting driver in the modded light.
Cons: the P4 is getting "old".(i still like the P2 in the RC-G2)there are better upgrades now than the P4.not much else.
Other Thoughts: the Q5 is the hottest emitter for modding upgrades on a 16mm base right now.i'm still holding out for the R2 to be availible on the 16mm base.i put this P4/16mm in my test mule RC-G2.it wasn't a whole lot brighter. but it was brighter. seemed to use up the battery just a tiny bit faster.like a few minutes or so is all.great for projects like outdoor lighting,or remote area lighting.mind the voltage to 3.5v or 4v, and heat sinking is needed.
Bottomline: good cheap, quality cree led.
Pros: Very bright, amazing price, small MCPCB it's mounted on, and easy to use. Perfect bin number. Not too warm, but not very cool white either, just in the middle.
Cons: Soldering onto the MCPCB is difficult because it's pulling the heat away before you solder. I just turn up the heat on my iron and I'm fine.
Other Thoughts: I'm using these in multiple automotive applications and they are great. Once you properly figure out heat management, using them is a breeze.
Bottomline: Amazing price for these quality LEDs. Anyone who doesn't jump on these surely isn't right in the head.
Pros: A bright light for my led flashlight #6145 the lens fell out of that one. A good price and a pretty good fit too. Easy sauter points, and no sanding down. Seems to be a good tint.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: A great price for a good cree, tiny pcb and aligned screw holes, good tint, may need more.
Pros: nice led, i modded my romisen rc-g2 with one of these in combination with sku7880 and its my favorite EDC now :p
Other Thoughts: wish this base 16mm foot was also available with cree Q5 led
