Pros: -well corrected image in the center-light and compact, yet sufficient brightness and magnification-image keeps natural colour balance-effective AR coatings-sturdy, mostly metal, and protected by rubber-oiled with thick vaseline, keeps moisture out and dampens adjustments-comes with pouch
Cons: -the focusing sledge wasn't keeping parallel with the optical axis (repaired in the end, but not so easy). This caused different focus for each eye.-narrow field of view-some pincushion distortion-focus at center means out of focus at 50% field (towards the periphery the image deteriorates too much anyway)... not a problem though, this could come in handy as it may spare you the need to refocus on closer objects.-could use some more eye relief and better collimation (some 5% off, not annoying though)
Other Thoughts: FOV 5.2deg, AFOV 54.6degThis suggests higher than 10x magnification, however the pincushion makes the image closer to 9x in the center and larger at the edge. Would have preferred it the other way, if at all (ie barrel).I could just see the roof edges under some circumstances, and they're horizontal. The eyepiece is smallish, half the objective diameter.Although not bad mechanically, a bit more attention during assemby or machining would suit more an item of this category. If they made a similar bino, but wider angle, I wouldn't care now, unless maybe something 75 degrees or more, but if anyone figures how to make a proper wide angle zoom, count me in. And please, stop this 'bigger figure marking is better' obsession, at least on optical instruments ;-)
Bottomline: A pleasant surprise in its essentials, handy and not unsturdy, not bad value, hopefully will last.
Pros: Very reasonable price, I did'nt find anything better at the time from DealExtreme. The build seems very nice and I do'nt think it will brake easyly. The pouch is very nice, can be but on a belt. Also as mentioned by others, it can be adjusted for us short-sighted people:p
Cons: The numbers 60x35 are weird. I don't belive them. The numbers should show the maginfing strength and the diameter, but these are way wrong.
Other Thoughts: I belive at this size they could be better.
Bottomline: Nice binocular for this little money
Pros: -- Picture quality is very good.-- view can be adjusted for short sighted people-- very easy to use-- comes with a nice pouch-- price is reasonable
Cons: -- Much smaller than I expected-- Does not include lence cover-- Range is not that great-- you might find something similar at a cheaper price
Other Thoughts: -- Good for occasional amusement-- kids will like this
Bottomline: -- This product is good for the biginners-- If you are looking something with good range and quality you'll have to spend a bit more and choose something better-- okay for the price
Pros: Nice looking piece of equipment. Feels sturdy and well built but still quite compact. Diopter adjustment included for us short-sighted folk. Reasonably clear optics
Cons: -May be some difficulty focusing (this is helped by the diopter adjustment) -The magnification is claimed to be 60x, but it does not seem to be that high, more like 10x
Other Thoughts: The eye-pads can roll down so they can be used better with spectacles.
Bottomline: A nice affordable pair of compact binoculars, but the magnification is not as high as it should be.
