Pros: Built well. Threads are deep and clean and no problem screwing on and off. O-rings nice and tight and effective. Glass lens. This thing is an impressive little thrower! It will put a beam on trees 100 yards away. It's small enough to fit into your pocket and the size is easily forgotten when you are using it. You have to keep reminding yourself that this light is so small. Out performs my wife's 3 D-cell flashlight. I tried alkaline and NiMH and couldn't see any difference in brightness.
Cons: The black finish on the outside seems a little thin and might be prone to wear and scratches but that will not effect the usage.
Other Thoughts: A friend came over the day I received this and he immediately wanted to buy it from me. I'll have to order more because mine is not for sale!
Bottomline: The little light is worth more than the selling price. If you want a great little light to put into you kit, buy this one.
Pros: - Incredible build quality for price level- AA battery are easy to find evrywere- Good light level- Thrower (for someone is a cons)- All parts are unmontable- Ok for modding- Very tough design (like army tool)- Comfy reverse clik- O-ring evrywere...waterproof?- Good alluminium OP reflector- Glass lens- Good heatsink
Cons: - Runtime is a little bit short....(only one AA)- The emitter is an old XRE P2, i'm scared to think what output is possible with a newest XRE Q5 or R2!! (-> go to modding!!!)- Big head...but big throw!!!
Other Thoughts: The cons are very little vs the pros, so, if you want a 1AA thrower buy it now!
Bottomline: Hey DX! I want a Q5 version!!!! c'mon!!!!!!
Pros: A truly brilliant little torch. A friend of mine recommended it as an LED torch just to start out with - I've now got plans to replace my 3D Maglite with it. It has only slightly less the spill of a 3D Mag, but matches it for output.Being a 1AA LED light it's very light for the output.The beam is clean and visually pleasing; it's quite good as a photography light.
Cons: My only gripe is that the clicky switch can be a bit temperamental. You have to be sure to screw it in all the way on the end. Not really a con, though, just something to be aware of.

Bottomline: A great flashlight which will easily replace some of your heavier, more expensive and less efficient incandescent lights!
Pros: I didn't expect the light output from only one AA NiMh cell. This light is amazingly bright. As usual with Romisen products - it is EXTREMELY well made, and finished. My father in law saw one of the other CREE lights I have, and was amazed. He asked me if I could get a single cell AA light, and I ordered this one for him as a birthday gift. Also gave him some AA NiMh cells and a charger. He's going to love this light - now (as usual) I wish I'd have bought more of them.
Cons: nothing at all!!
Other Thoughts: Want a small bright "AA" light with killer quality at a great price? Get this one!
Bottomline: This thing will eat a Mini-Maglite for lunch!
