Ownership verified by DX Surdy built, long throw

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: This little thing gives a long, long throw. I lit up trees about 70 or 80 metres away. This could be true because it produces a more condensed beam, a smaller hotspot.
The forward click is especially handy in that the light lights up when you press the tail button, not hard enough to trigger the "click".
Not like others such as sku 28546, the reflector is easy to screw off, making the light a candle.

Cons: The light it produces is slightly yellowish as compared with my other one (sku 28546). I like whitish light.

Other Thoughts: None.

Bottomline: If you do not mind the hotpot being relatively small, buy this one. This one will light up stuff far, far from you.

Ownership verified by DX Really good!

Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar

Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Building quality is very good, I did not try it to put into water, but people say it is posiible, and as far as I undestand the rubber rings allow to do this without any damage to device! Light beam is good and battry life is also good. I did not try to switch it on until the battery down, but swithching it on from time to time only in dark places lets to live more than a week. I use rechargeble.

Cons: Not very convenient to wear it in pocket, rather heavy comparing it with sku.1993

Other Thoughts: comparing it with sku.1993, this Romisen is a little brighter or probably has different spektrum or maybe different led. But anyway it is worth the money!

Bottomline: Really good! I can sign under theese words!

Ownership verified by DX great pocket light

Pros: CHEAP. Compact, rugged, very bright for a single-AA-powered light, has thumbswitch and a lanyard.

Cons: Screw-on thumbswitch would have been nice, since it's instant-on and mechanically simpler than a push-button.

Other Thoughts: Dealextreme carries a whole bunch of inexpensive, well-made "generic" lights that use the latest LED emitters. I decided to pick out one of the smaller ones for a new everyday-carry light and was not disappointed at all.
This thing is built like a tank and puts out a ferocious beam. The machining is a little funky but it fits my hand well, and the lens is a good deal more solid than those found on many cheaper lights. The seals are good but as with any new light, it's worthwhile to put a dab of mineral oil on the threads. It should handle a downpour with aplomb, but I'm not so sure about immersing it.
I will most likely buy a few more of these for gifts since I'm so happy with mine. Great deal.

Bottomline: This is a BARGAIN-priced, high-performance flashlight.

Ownership verified by DX A great out-of-the-box light New emitter & driver

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: This light is better in output compared to before the company changed the driver and the emitter. The driver had a less mA output then previous. This may have solved the flicker and low output. It still has a great spot and less spill. It throws better than a standard mini mag and has better center spot. This has clean contact points and no extra grease just good orings. I would classify this as a weatherproof light for rain and storms.

Cons: A P3 instead of a P4 (3 wires inside emitter instead of 4) but not a bad result because of price. After all P4 have become obsolete why not change Romisen?

Other Thoughts: A good wide host for many AA applications. Very nice possibilities for making a BBQ flashlight add a metal clip or holster and your set for Super Bowl.

Bottomline: Definetly a good light out of the box. I changed the driver to a 5mode 3.7 volt with a 14500. The driver was to big tried sanding it down but contact points came to close to metal pill so glued it on top or underside pill. A good bright 5 mode light wont take 1.5 batts but a good light.
