Pros: -Easy to use, just open it up, slip the battery in, and close it again.
Cons: -The metal piece can fall in if you aren't careful, and it's tricky to put it back in place.-Slightly thicker than an AA battery, they might not fit every battery compartment.-An AAA battery cannot supply as much current as an AA so these might not work depending on what you're trying to power with them.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: These are useful for do-it-yourself lovers (high-powered flashlights, RC-model planes, etc.)
Pros: They work.They are cheap for an 8 pack.
Cons: They are a touch thicker than some of my AA rechargeables. Items which fit the battery tightly may not work with them.Some of them are a little fussy to get open or closed around the battery.
Other Thoughts: Obviously you don't have the energy capacity of a AA. When getting a device going now is more important than how long it will last, these are great.
Bottomline: They have saved me twice when I had AAA charged and needed a AA battery. Worth what I paid already. I keep a stash of them in the bag with my soshine emergency power charger (sku 3205) so I can pull the batteries for other uses.
Pros: does indeed transforms a AAA into a AA size battery.the latest ones shipped arre the ones made out of transparent plasticthey have a spring inside which i like instead of an open bottom. this because i use them for 10440 batteries10440 batteries have a bit of platic on the bottom so with these converters you do not have any problems
Cons: diameter is a bit more then regular AA so these will not fit any flashlight i thinkthe inside of the + pole is indeed partially covered with plasticlooks like a production error but can be removed easilly.
Bottomline: if you need these for NON flashlight related stuff buy themotherwise they will not fit
Pros: - Cheap. - Transparent plastic. - An AAA battery with this adapter is a few grams lighter than an standard AA battery.
Cons: - As a previous reviewer mentioned there is a thin layer of plastic on the positive contact which needs to be scraped off using a long needle or something. 7 of the 8 adapters I received had this problem. - Brittle plastic, minor cracks visible that will probably get worse with use. - The two parts of the adapter spring apart easily, some are looser than others. - Diameter of adapter is slightly greater than standard AA batteries and the sides of the adapter are not parallel, hence these may not fit all devices.
Other Thoughts: - The design of these adapters has changed (see latest customer images). The previous design (DX images) looks like it was better quality. - Buy more than you need as some may not be up to scratch.
Bottomline: - Good for rechargeable AAA batteries which don't have to be removed very often or at all, e.g. DECT phones, rechargeable cordless mice etc.
