Cons: After seeing several reviews about blown capacitor shorting the USB bus I don't feel safe leaving it at the ozone feature.When I plug in the power cable in the USB port I get the message:"One if the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned"... (see my uploaded picture)
Other Thoughts: Sometimes fresh air isn't easy available in my room cause my dad's sitting outside blocking the window. Also my is far away from the window so... That's why I bought this.In the other reviews people are explaining about the capacitor blowing. If that happens I'll probably open it and replace it with a better one.
Bottomline: Probably an useful device.
Pros: Seemed to do my bedroom very well. improved my health while it was working. More alert and no itchy ears and allergies.
Cons: Has a desgin fault where if a charging capacitor blows it shorts the power supply out. I bought 2. First one gave to a friend. Last 2.5 hours before it blew and shorted out his pc usb bus. Mine lasted 2 weeks non stop but made a big bang and died also killing my usb power adpater
Other Thoughts: Should come with its own 100 to 240volt power adapter they cheap enough to include so can use on pc and anywhere in room.
Bottomline: Works good but for how long before it blows. I think maybe if use the ozone part it wont last as long as seems to kill the capacitor randomly.
Pros: Ozone works noticeably well.Fan is fairly strong.Attractive design.USB is durable and long.
Cons: The fan that is started to make a loud noise after 2 weeks of on and off use. I sounds like the fan is hitting something. It only makes the noise when it is on the normal function (ion I believe). It still works on the ozone setting, but as it has a 10 minutes timer, the noise is not inescapable. The noise is intolerable and renders the device useless. This gives me a sad face.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Worked amazingly for two weeks then it broke (See Cons). I might try to repair it myself.
Pros: Does what I wanted and more. It kills most all smells pretty quickly. It is near silent. Works great in my dorm room.I don't have a measurable way of testing if the negative ions give me an increased sense of well being. I do know that it for sure does not decrease my sense of well being.
Cons: Dust has built up on the fan inside. The front vent can be easily taken off by twisting, but that doesn't provide very good access to the fan for cleaning purposes.
Other Thoughts: The guy two room over smokes cannabis in his room, which can stink up the whole suite sometimes. This little guy keeps my room smelling pot-free.
Bottomline: I love it. Friends of mine love it and are ordering ones for themselves. The price is right. The function is amazing.
