Pros: Light and reasonably well made. Accepts a wide range of cells without needing spacers. Doesn't get hot during charging. Charges cells to maximum capacity (though this does mean a shorter life for the cells). Comes in tough plastic bag suitable for storage.
Cons: Inserting a second cell can end the charging process for the first cell early. The light turns from red to green signaling the end of the charging process. Removing and reinserting the cell immediately doesn't continue the charge process: the light stays green. When I tested one cell after this it was about 3/5 charged. The lights are green when no cell is inserted, so "charge complete" and "no contact" are indistinguishable.Once charging is complete there is still a 20mA current into the cell. Lithium cells do not like to be trickle charged, so you should remove the cell as soon as the charge light goes green.Slow. Takes 9 hours to charge a pair of 18650s.
Other Thoughts: It's great to have a once size fits all charger. It's easy to gets the cells in and out. It would be even nicer if it had a 3V switch. Can't complain though.
Bottomline: I'm worried about the reports of fires, but an OK charger for an OK price. Would buy again unless I saw something markedly better. I don't leave it unattended though.
Pros: Fairly fast charger, 2-3hrs for 16340 batteries haven't tried other batteriesCan Charge lots of different types of batteries. Was considering geting another charger but this one is more versatile.Charging indicator - Red when charging, green when fully charged.
Cons: Wrong plug for Australia - has US plug, and I need AUS plug, although in all fairness, it was stated in the description. Not really a problem though as I have plenty of adapters at home.
Other Thoughts: Was worried about this but there have been no problems so far. When charging, the charger does not get hot as some people said. Maybe I just got a good batch.
Bottomline: From my experience, I recommend this charger as it is cheap, and does the job.
Pros: Can charge all types of 3.6V/3.7VWith mod and spacer can charge 3.0VLow charge courent - good for keep life of batteriesseparate charge chanels with individual bicolor LED's(RED - charging, GREEN - full)Can charge 1x16340 and 1x10440 at the same time.stop charging at 4.25V.
Cons: None, in fact.o, some lube for easy sliding the mobile contact.Have to buy sku 3529 if you live in Europe.
Other Thoughts: Is very usefull, does what it's supposed to do.And I manage to mod it to charge also 3.0V.Look at pictures. it's very easy to do with some soldering tools, 1 rezistor(or 2) and 1 mini switch.
Bottomline: It's a very good product.
Pros: :+ hasn't exploded yet+ single charger for my whole range of 10440..18650 batteries+ power cable with connector, to easily replace the US plug it comes with against European plug+ can be operated on 12 Volts
Cons: :- produces a humming or whining sound sometimes. Repositioning a battery helps usually.- a few of my 14500 batteries didn't make contact easily. Fixed by straightening the crooked part of the cathode.- just a simple current limiter with voltage cutoff, which is to be expected for the price. One can't reasonably expect a microcontroller-regulated multi-mode charging "station" with a handful of operation modes (even though I'd like one for Lithium cells too - especially the capability of measuring capacity is something I am missing a bit)
Other Thoughts: :by reading the forum, the impression is won that this charger suffers from some manufacturing spread. I seem to have been lucky, as it charges to an accurate 4.20 Volts, and hasn't violently disintegrated yet. Even though, I operate it separated from easily inflammable or valuable objects. For a while I used it with 12 Volts only, but haven't been sticking to this precaution recently. I do take care though to insert batteries only after I turned on power, especially when charging two batteries at the same time. Modifying the charger by adding a power switch to it might be a good idea.
Bottomline: :They can't all explode, can they? As long as this one doesn't, this is a nice one-size-fits-all charger for a broad spectrum of Lithium cells. It may be a tad slow, especially when charging the higher capacity 18650 cells, but having two extra cells fully compensates for that. Were I in need of another charger, I'd pick this one again. Should it explode, I'd pick another one.
