Pros: well firstly I liked the price so that's why I chose this one, it was not to hard too mount, but a star board would be way more easy, so if you're not to confident about mounting it then, maybe go for a star led, like a cree or somthing.
Cons: none yet, it's been good to me so far
Other Thoughts: I got it for my solder fume extractor fan, I just mounted a small heat sink at the top of the fan, and then routed a tube from the fan exhaust to the heat sink, so it runs very cool. and the reason for it was that the fan shadowed my working area, but now its all flood lit.
Bottomline: I'll get more of them I think.

Pros: A three watt LED at a good price. Mine are a very neutral white, very slightly cool. Just a guess 5800 degrees.
Mine actually came mounted on a 16 mm disk. Pads seem to be tinned soldering was easier than most
Cons: Wasn't expecting it to come on a disk but no big deal.
Other Thoughts: Just a little fining and this baby sat right down in a 1/2 inch copper plumbing end cap (if yours comes with the mini disk heat sink)
Bottomline: If you are looking for a 3 watt LED that may or may not be mounted on a 16 mm heat sink with a fairly neutral color temperature at a good price, here it is
good

Pros: Bright if not a on little on the yellow side in tint,
maybe 2000K?
I'm running it on the high side and the heatsink seems to run cooler than XRE CREE's
Cons: If you like the HID look this will disapoint but as far as output you can't go wrong for the price. I've only tested this for about 48hrs so can't say anything about long life but it's held up for two days so feel good about this LED.
Bottomline: For the price, if you know what your doing this will make most happy. Please use Arctic Silver
or another heatsink epoxy, paste just won't do.
