Pros: very inexpensive, great build quality, good battery life, inconspicuous packaging, and reasonable range for the size

Cons: ineffective behind windows or walls, ineffective in a pocket

Other Thoughts: Although it looks like it could trigger a bomb, this device is surprisingly inconspicuous in public places. On one occasion I even jammed the phone call of an unknowing police officer. The fact that it’s illegal here in the States is actually fortuitous; it’s reasonably easy to import and its legality makes it an unusual and therefore unsuspecting device if used wisely.

Bottomline: If you feel you ought to take it upon yourself to disconnect the one babbling on the phone next to you on the train, or to disconnect your friend's call to his girlfriend out of jealousy or as some practical joke, this device is pure gold. Just don't bring it to the airport.

Pros: Great product - Great Price - Excellent quality. I was very pleasantly surprised when I received this blocking device.

Cons: Would like better range. Depending upon conditions (how it is positioned, signal strength from cell tower, etc) it is generally effective in a 5-8' range.

Other Thoughts: I noticed that there are a lot of comments about the antennas getting bent or broken. I noticed this as well, and looked all over for some sort of enclosure to protect it. I ended up making my own out of 2 cigarette packs (box) covered with spray on rubber. See the pictures posted here, Easy to make, just not very pretty to look at. For those complaining about the on/off button being accidentally pressed, just put a drop of silicone sealer on it.

Bottomline: I wish there had been a commercial case available so I didn't have to improvise. I also wish there was a "high power" option w/o going to large unwieldy antennae. But for the $$, it can't be beat.

Pros: Works right out of the box. Small enough to fit in your pocket. The same unit on other online stores is TWICE the price. Fully charged I measured its blocking distance indoors with my phone at about 35 walking paces. Sturdy, metal case.

Cons: Although the construction is solid, the antenae will bend because their not flexible. Range drops with battery power. Unplug it from the cig lighter in your car or the chargers led will drain the battery.

Other Thoughts: Great for that annoying person in the office or checkout line that oversteps their social boundries. Especially those blue tooth people who constantly "shoosh" you because you don't know if their talking to you or their on the phone. Now, I "shoosh" them.

Bottomline: Bottom line is all the school teachers (3) in me and my wifes family want one for their classroom. I am ordering more of these gems and will try the more powerful units available here also. Get one.

Pros: It does shut down many cell phones.
It's smaller than I expected. Easily pocket-sized.
Very few people are aware of such devices. I carry it in plain sight without drawing any suspicion.

Cons: It does not shut down all cell phones. Can be frustrating.
Effective range is actually quite small.
The antennas do seem fragile. Pocket storing will likely damage them.
First-time penalty for using this device in the US is a fine up to $11,000 and up to a year of jail time. Scary.

Other Thoughts: This thing has sparked many battles of Good vs. Evil in myself. Some cell phone users are irresponsible dickheads. Sure. But am I willing to screw with an innocent?
Apparently the answer is: Sometimes.

Bottomline: This device has definitely been worth a purchase. It has given me so many priceless moments.
