Pros: Cheap, tiny. Good design. Can't think of more.
Cons: More than half of them does not worked as they should - showed wrong directions or didn't did anything. Poor build quality. Very poor.
Other Thoughts: Bought 100 of these [five packs] to give away for a kids in the summer camp, but out of 100 there worked as the compass should only about 35-40. So I failed. And kids had nothing [as I couldn't give a compass for EVERYONE]. That wasn't very nice.
Bottomline: If everything would work, it would be worth for a price. Sure thing.
Pros: Nive to have and to give away.Very small so can be used on small items such as postcards.Very cheap.
Cons: Not very functional. Just a tiny little gadgetPositioning on a flat surface is not very easy so compass does not work as it should easily. You have to be patient with it.
Other Thoughts: I use these compasses to put in found geocaches and to stick in logbooks in geocaches. There should be a self adhesive sticker on the back of the compasses.
Bottomline: Nice, very cheap little compasses. Not very usefull but nice for several purposes.
Pros: These little compasses (compasii?) have several good qualities.-PRICE-At approx 10c each how could you go wrong?-MAGNET STRENGTH-Surprisingly strong magnet for a compass this size brings arrow around quickly-APPROPRIATE SPINDLE-metal on metal is a simple design but works well at this size-CLEAR PRINTING-green\white on black is easy to read
Cons: OK any device built down to this price is going to have issues.-NO DAMPING-more expensive compasses have oil or water damping these don't so wobble about a lot without a steady hand.-NOT WELL BALANCED-many of these little bad boys need to be held at odd angles to work but hey they still work.-A FEW POINT THE WONG WAY-about 10% were far enough off for me to decide to bin them. Not hard to test as you do have 18 to compare them to.
Other Thoughts: I had intended to give them all away as novelty gifts but might keep a couple for myself now I have seen them.
Bottomline: Being prepared for the failure rate I felt I had made a good buy
Pros: Small, light weight, inexpensive and easily mounted to flat plastic surfaces with a single drop of super-glue.
Cons: Some are more accurate than others. Out of two bags of 20, thirty were dead-on, 8 were in the zone to be accurate enough for a non-life or death occasion and 2 were not at all right. However, at this price, I'm still very happy with it and consider it a bargain.
Other Thoughts: These are cheap and functional compasses. I would not recommend these for getting you out of the woods unless you have checked them against a known compass. But then, I wouldn't ever rely on a compass that cost me only 12.5 cents in an emergency situation.
Bottomline: Nice as a giveaway trinkets or for crafting. I got these to leave in geocaches. If you're looking for a cheap, disposable compass, these will suit your needs perfectly.
