- Note: each color channel is able to take a maximum of 350mA of current, thus a 1050mA combined current input and the 3W rating.

Pros: good little light, work well, hard plastic doomnice star easy to solder
Cons: the polarity is different than markedbut nothing much
Other Thoughts: nice, strong, good built
Bottomline: good for the money . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Pros: The emitter is well build, the colors mix good and the light output is great. The star slug is quite thick and makes heat sink mounting easy.
Cons: Emitter is common anode and the pads are mislabeled. I knew it before I bought it, so no big issue, but keep it in mind for your design.
Other Thoughts: Build an RGB mood light with one of these, a PIC 16f84a and a few 2222a transistors and the proper resistors. Had some issues getting the PWM just right but now looks awesome. And onetime at band camp we had to write a review and it required over five hundred characters and we were all like wow and didn't know what else to write.
Bottomline: Amazing value! Those emitters usually run quite a bit more.
Pros: Cheap, cheap, cheap! You can find the same LED for $45 (28€) from some european dealers...
Cons: As other reviews stated, polarity is mislabeled, it is COMMON ANODE, so you must design your driving circuit accordingly.
Other Thoughts: As powerful as you can expect from a 3W LED. Can also get hot pretty quickly (no surprise). Can be tricky to get a "pure white" light from these. Some reviewers stated that it was difficult to solder: putting tin on the small solder pad, letting it cool and then soldering tinned wire ("two pass solder") makes things easier.
Bottomline: Good product, you can't go wrong with these!
Pros: - Amazing to have if you have the right circuit to use this Cree LED. I recommend using the “ Multicolored LED Decorative Snow Ball” circuit if you don’t have time to design your own. You can just take apart the globe and rewire it so you use the Cree LED instead of the LED that are with the globe. I highly recommend doing this modification if you’re using the globe as a light. The Cree led is very well built and has lasted many hours of use.
Cons: - The problem I have encountered with this Cree LED is that the POLARITY are incorrect since the positives are negative and the negatives are positive which screwed up my circuit and wouldn’t turn it on.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: - This is a great product for any do it yourselfier since it opens a wide variety of project ideas instead of the need to use 3 leds to produce a wonderful effect.
