- Note: each color channel is able to take a maximum of 350mA of current, thus a 1050mA combined current input and the 3W rating.

Pros: A almost perfect lightsource to make almost every color of light you want.Very bright.
Cons: the real problem is the wrong polarity,Mass is PLUS so you need a NEGATIVEpowersource. The wavelength of the 3 chips do not match the exact absorbsionspectrum of the human eye
Other Thoughts: This led can be used for almost every lightapplication. The blue chip has the most overkill. You can make your light, when you want white, about every colortemperature. The red color in not 650 but about630 nM.No possibility so use the leds in serie if you want to be able to adjust the color. With resistors however you can program every led differently.Therefor it is a little inconvenient to make your own highoutput RGB controllable spotlight.Collimation is also difficult, the lightspot is not homogenic in color. For this price however.......
Bottomline: The price and the possibilities aregreat, to reach the expected result is tricky and not easy. When you keep trying, you will find the way to make any kind of light you want with this RGB powerled.
Pros: good little light, work well, hard plastic doomnice star easy to solder
Cons: the polarity is different than markedbut nothing much
Other Thoughts: nice, strong, good built
Bottomline: good for the money . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Pros: The emitter is well build, the colors mix good and the light output is great. The star slug is quite thick and makes heat sink mounting easy.
Cons: Emitter is common anode and the pads are mislabeled. I knew it before I bought it, so no big issue, but keep it in mind for your design.
Other Thoughts: Build an RGB mood light with one of these, a PIC 16f84a and a few 2222a transistors and the proper resistors. Had some issues getting the PWM just right but now looks awesome. And onetime at band camp we had to write a review and it required over five hundred characters and we were all like wow and didn't know what else to write.
Bottomline: Amazing value! Those emitters usually run quite a bit more.
Pros: Cheap, cheap, cheap! You can find the same LED for $45 (28€) from some european dealers...
Cons: As other reviews stated, polarity is mislabeled, it is COMMON ANODE, so you must design your driving circuit accordingly.
Other Thoughts: As powerful as you can expect from a 3W LED. Can also get hot pretty quickly (no surprise). Can be tricky to get a "pure white" light from these. Some reviewers stated that it was difficult to solder: putting tin on the small solder pad, letting it cool and then soldering tinned wire ("two pass solder") makes things easier.
Bottomline: Good product, you can't go wrong with these!
