Update (1/13/07): there is a first-aid kit in every package that contains two adhesive pads and a spare tail propeller in every package, shipped before and now. As suggested by fellow customers the adhesive pads can be sticked under the nose of the helicopter to cause the craft to fly forward faster. If you're interested you may even try sticking two of them.
This Pocket Mini Helicopter is constructed from Polypropylene. Weighing at a mere 0.35oz (10g) and measuring only six inches in length, it's the smallest and lightest helicopter we've seen. This makes it very safe for teens to play.
It flies exactly like its far more expensive look-alikes while also sporting a LED strobe light giving it a realistic helicopter look (something even our more expensive helicopters don't have). What's more? It's charged directly by the remote control's built-in cable. Charging gets done in as little as 20 minutes. What surprises us is the auto-stability system (finally...) in this helicopter that allows even the most novice of users to at least take off instead of smashing it into a wall. In fact it works quite well. I've tried lifting off from my hands at a steep angle. The helicopter automatically leveled itself within 3 seconds or so. It's kind of fun to do that too but still please watch out for people and animals and make sure you have a large enough room before you try to lift it off at an angle.
Lastly, there is a L/R rudder trimmer switch available so you can always fine tune each flight. If your helicopter keeps turning around, use the trimmer switch.
For beginners, the easiest way to trim the heli out is to simply push the L or the R buttons multiple times and see if the helicopter's turning action slows down. If so, continue on pressing the same button until the helicopter flies completely still. Otherwise, try pressing the other button.

2 received trying first
Out of the box it would tend to pitch to the right and fly very fast away until a wall. Visualy nice beacuse felt like a real copter maneuver but not much functionnal.
I started to calibrate the tail. I managed to make it more stable, but it would enter in a pendulum swing movement, back and forth.
This has to be related to the tail angle pushing it too much forward and until the stabiliser rotor tries naturally to re-balance the whole thing. this whole thing induces kind of oscillation effect.
Playing with the tail made it eventually quite stable. Trimmimg the remote make it stop turning on itself.
now I'm focused on the forward move, not fully acheived. Tried the weight on the tip but does not really work... Logical, the auto balancing system will managage to re-balance the whole thing.
But I noticed in the manual that it should go formard if you induce a slight rotation to the right. This probably affects the flow of the balance system and actually, work...
I'm woking on it now. We'll see.
Pros: This helicopter is small and funny. Gets easily charged and it's ready to have fun with. It's quite simple to work, you just have to take care the rear motor it's properly trimmed.
Cons: The construction build is really poor, but couldn't be better at that price. If you avoid hitting the copter against hard surfaces that's not a problem, but be careful not to loose any part of the stabilizer or you will throw it to the paper bin.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: It's a very funny toy, but must be very careful on where you use it, since the construction build is so bad that any little hit can break it.
Pros: Cheaper than a havoc, and I liked the canopy better than the foam job the Havoc (and havoc/Pico Z clones) have. Flies relatively well for a two channel heli after some slight modification
Cons: Main rotor broke before I had a chance to trim it properly. Trim was WAY off out of the box. Replacement blades (SKU: 10807) are a little too heavy for this bird...as a result, I ended up losing the canopy and flipping the lipo over and attaching it to the top of the IR sensor to balance the CG. Looks more like my Honey Bee King 2 now...in fact I think I'll call this one Larvae.
Other Thoughts: El cheapo 2ch heli. what do you expect? fun to muck around with...if you want some real fun, start out with a fixed pitch 4ch heli and move up to a 6ch CCPM model from there.
Bottomline: fun to buzz the wife with, just don't get within arms reach or you'll lose it. :)
Pros: - Very cheap - Easy to understand how to use - Information on the box is English and understandable. - Box is well packaged. There is protection for helicopter not to damage - Works well (but with changed blades) - Easy to use. - It's funny !
Cons: - I had to change the blades because it didn't work regularly at the first time I ran it. - Hard to use (but funny when you get used to it) - It requires 6 batteries (too much)
Other Thoughts: You should buy it with SKU10808 and SKU10807. It definitely requires new blades.
Bottomline: It's funny and cheap. I strongly suggest you to buy it.
Pros: Very smallVery very very very very very very very very very cheapIt really fliesLooks cool
Cons: Can't use rechargabale batteriesI bought 2 and one off them broke down realy fast. I used the parts form that helicopter to repair the other one.Breaks down really fastDon't expect to get real control you need to buy a 4 channel helicopter for that.
Other Thoughts: Great fun for a short time
Bottomline: Iff you want a helicopter with better controls don't buy this get the lama or the walkera.Otherwise its a great produkt for a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very cheap price
1. Insert the 6 included AA batteries into the remote control.
2. Set the A/B/C switch to the system name indicated on the box. It's a white label on to-wards right on the box.
3. Open the charger cable cover on the remote and connect the white charger cable to the helicopter's charging port (besides the ON/OFF switch). Be careful when plugging in as the connector is keyed and must go in with a certain orientation.
If you have plugged in the charger cable correctly, turn on the remote control and a green "charging" light should lit up or flashes on the remote control. This light goes off when charging is complete.
4. Turn on the helicopter and you may begin flying.
