Pros: Small, lightweight, foldable mains plug, USB cable included with the item (USB A to mini USB B).
Cons: Realiability and cable lenght seem to be the only issues with this small and otherwise nice power supply. I have two of them and one works flawlessly with the gooseneck LED USB lamp, but the other failed to survive charging my Nokia E51 through an adapter bought separately. It simply died and does not work anymore. Cable could be a bit longer, but this is not a real flaw.
Other Thoughts: Could be made more reliable, but I have no clue as to reasons why it died during charging N E51. Could be that Nokia tried to draw too much current, but then it should be somehow protected against current overload...
Bottomline: Buy it, for this price it's a steal. Euro/French plug, Messrs DX? Folding type French plug would be cool.
Pros: * Nice form factor, folding AC plug makes it rather compact.* Comes with a (small, cheap) USB A-to-miniB cable* 2 LEDs, one (red) indicates power present, the other (green) when sourcing over ~100mA.* Not that it matters, but it successfully powers up some USB hubs (with nothing else connected)
Cons: Fails to power my USB gadgets (fan, light...).Fails to charge all the devices I've tried: - GPS powers up when connected; doesn't charge though. - iPod: nothing happens. - Old Nokia 6590: charger green LED slowly blinks a couple times, nothing more. - HTC Dream/ADP1/G1 says "charging", but 1%/hour max. Moreover, the touchscreen becomes unusable while this thing is connected.
Other Thoughts: AC leaks out a bit, ~50uA, worrysome. Nice-looking but utterly fake safety markings (UL, CE, double-insulated... Not!).Label says "JY power supply", input AC 100-250V 50/60Hz 10mA, output DC 5V +/-5% 200-300mA.
Bottomline: Found a use for the cable; the rest ended up in the e-waste recycling bin.
Pros: Prongs fold in so it won't tear your bag or scratch other gadgets.Professional design with LED indicators.Doesn't explode?
Cons: I got a different model which outputs DC 6v (+-0.5v) 200-300mA.Was unable to charge my mp3 player, but my mp3 player is pretty picky about how it charges, so I would't say it's not working.Workmanship seems kinda rough but acceptable for an item at this price range.Very light, could be a pro or con depending on user preference.
Other Thoughts: Cable length could've been longer.
Bottomline: Check out the reviews and forum discussions and make sure your device works before buying.
Pros: - Charges many USB devices and MP3 Players.- Cheap (good price)!- Comes with cable.- Rectractable pins (good to carry)
Cons: - DOES NOT charges some USB devices and MP3 Players.- Low output "mA" (takes a eternity to charge more powerfull devices).- I preffer the SKU 19242 .- Not very good build quality (it is ok, but not very sturdy).
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: BUY the "Ultra-Mini 1000mA USB Power Adapter/Charger (100~240V AC)" - SKU 19242 .It is much better !
