Bottomline: I've had these batteries for a few months now, and given them a number of cycles through relatively high-discharge devices (digital cameras etc.). From testing them on a LaCrosse BC-900 battery charger / discharger / tester, I've found the rated capacity to be slightly higher than the actual capacity. From a single four-pack of batteries, I get measured capacities of 2150mAH, 1661mAH, 2320 mAH, and 1838mAH. I was surprised at the difference in measured capacity between identical batteries - over 650mAH difference between the lowest and highest capacities. However, each battery seemed to consistently charge and discharge to the same capacity (within about 60mAH) each time I tested it, over the course of 2 weeks (this was a pretty comprehensive test!). Overall, I'm quite satisfied with these, given the price. By comparison, I picked up a set of 4 Powerex Imedion AA's (2100mAH rating) for about double the price of these Soshine's, and their capacity measured between 2160 and 2200 each, with less than 20mAH difference between charges on each cell. So, the more expensive batteries seem to give mildly better performance but for a large increase in price. Time will tell how long each of these sets last though...

- pretty good quality making people think that they're very expensive;
- came with an green box to hold'em all;
- fits all my flashlights nicely;
- package is nice.

Cons: - Not a single problem with those, they're very good.

Other Thoughts: - Charging time longer than my original Sony AA's(I think that it's better, maybe it can hold more charge, but I am not sure, I can't test 'em...);
- also, with such packaging and price, they are good to be given as gift to friends.

Bottomline: If you need low priced AA's buy this, they're cheap and good and will fit your flashlights.

Pros: Good Performance – Batteries are comparable to the same rated AA NiMH battery from Varta (2500mAh)
Rechargeable – Batteries, no piles of dead batteries to deal with
High capacity – 2500mAh, great for use in my other bike light
Price – Cheap and good value for money, quality product for a good price.

Cons: Long charge time -, although that is not such a big problem. Same recharge time as the Varta atteries so this is specific to NiMH batteries and the type of charger. There are 15 minute quick chargers but I think they reduce the battery life cycle. The one I use is an 8hr charger.

Other Thoughts: As a side benefit, the batteries also come with a cool green case to keep the batteries safe when you are not using them. Not used often but it is a good inclusion nonetheless.

Bottomline: Great batteries, great price. Get some to see for yourself. You won’t regret it.

Other Thoughts: Great price combined with quality! Now I can use them with my electric toothbrush without having to buy new batteries ever 15 days. Just recharge and use again!

Bottomline: If you need AA bateries buy this, they're not expensive and holds some nice charge.
