Pros: It's "free energy", it cost something (co2) to produce, however, now its free energy. It's light wieght, so I useally care it (when I need to care it) in my pocket. The size is like an mobile phone.
Cons: Feel a little brittle, but overall I think it can take som damage.. Hopefully
Other Thoughts: I use it for my DS lite with the charger cable found here on this site. ;)It's really good that this can power a USB devise. fx the Plasma Ball (also from here(on dx))
Bottomline: If you could use it, buy it, it's one of the chaepest ever you'll find. Buy it if needed-
Pros: please read full review for my opinionlooks pretty (chrome color coated plastic "rivets" and false but pretty "big fat screw", all chrome color plated and everything. Also, it has decent size solar cells. Knows when there is VERY little light, as it stops charging/openig up the cells (this prevents discharging in low light conditions, costing you your battery)read bottom line
Cons: dose not include all power adaptors, has like 5 or 6 but not 1 important. If it can charge from USB then it needs the USB A to UAB A (UAB full size "male" to use full size male), if it cannot be chargen in such a fashion then that should be concidered the con.
Other Thoughts: Seems to be physically decently well built (not meant for abuse, but will last quite well if taken care of or not physically abused).
Bottomline: It cannot charge directly from solar cell to phone/usb device, it must charge the battery and the battery to device; therefore all possible conversion stage losses will be experienced. On the up side this it the cheapest DX charger (05/20/2009), that seems to work OK and have a battery (to charge solar device at day and phone at night (camping?)). The price is very good for a solar charger that works reasonably well. THIS IS THE CHEAPEST CHARGER THAT WORKS AT LEAST "OK".
Pros: - cheap- recharges under low light too- comes with car and normal charger- battery inside (unknown capacity tho)
Cons: - very cheap build- no charger tip for newer nokias (can be bought)
Other Thoughts: solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future solar is the future
Bottomline: good for recharging your cell / usb device on beach ;-)
Pros: Recharges my iPod, perfect for everyday use. It gives my iPod unlimited power. Seems well built and is very sturdy. It's a little big and at first glance I thought it was a cell phone. There were also some scratches on it but not too noticeable. Very nice, great buy!
Cons: It's a little big and at first glance I thought it was a cell phone. There were also some scratches on it but not too noticeable.
Other Thoughts: Very nice, great buy! It charges the ipod while it's in front of the sun, and with the lithium battery, you can preserve battery for later use.
Bottomline: Buy it! I use it always, and it also charges other devices like my cell phone. I love this item.
