Pros: Very useful tool for exchanging files between your PC, notebook and home computer.

Cons: Sometime you don't know what side is used to put this adapter into USB port. Actually, there are no other cons. Can be easily lost though.

Other Thoughts: It would be great if DX would offer also MiniSD converter with this gadget, or some case to carry it with you.

Bottomline: Buy it if you use MicroSD in your phone and you prefer not to carry a cable with you.
Please lower charater limit down to 250 symbols for very cheap gadgets please. There are no many thoughts about cheap things.

Ownership verified by DX Excellent produit, perfectible qualitativement.

Pros: -Small as possible
-No weight at all
-Keep in you pocket
-You can even keep it fixed to your mobile phone for when you need to transfer to/from a microSD/Transflash card
-Ridiculous price!

Cons: -Bad build quality makes this item fragile.. handle with care!
-Sometimes your computer might not recognize this item via the USB adaptor because it fits kind of loose..
-Dont connect to a Windows computer without a card inside: creates some mess in My Computer contents.

Other Thoughts: Really useful to transfer files to/from a microSD/Transflash card in a fast and efficient way.
Enables you to share the same card between your mobile phone and your SD-capable photo-camera! Just put your microSD/Transflash card into this adaptor and use as SD card in your camera normally.

Bottomline: One of the best and most useful computing inventions ever, no doubt!

Ownership verified by DX Worth owning, despite some caveats

Pros: The thing does exactly what it's supposed to, and generally does it well. In one device you have the ability to have your microSD cards read in both an SD device or anything with a USB port. Coupled with the SanDisk keychain SD-card case, and I can do so much with this thing. I can transfer files quickly and easily to/from it with any computer, and I can also use it as a backup card for my camera or install CABs from my Mogul on a Treo. It's extremely useful.

Cons: Build quality has been an issue. The first one had small bits of glue covering parts of the SD contacts. On some computers when I'd plug it into an SD slot with a card, the computer would report that the card needed to be formatted. If I turned it around and plugged it into a USB port it worked perfectly. I ended up ordering a second one as a backup/replacement, hoping it would fix this problem. For one thing I found that those same computers had the same problem with standard microSD-to-SD adapters, so it wasn't this device's fault. For another, the new one did the same thing. But the real problem was the new one had drastically less glue, so the entire thing pretty much came apart in my hands. It functions, but it falls almost completely apart easily, and is much, much slower than the first one.

Other Thoughts: I'm wondering if the new one's cheaper construction was an effort to address the overgluing of the first one. Now I'd prefer the overgluing.

Bottomline: Worth the price. Would be worth a lot more if it was built a lot better, but worth the price due to the issues. I'd recommend coupling it with item 5544 for best portability.
