Pros: This NDS Housing fits great! Comes with all the screw, sticker & Buttons needed. Makes your NDS Look like brand new. Built quality was hard enough, so cannot break easily. My sister really loves it!

Cons: -Some screw holes were too big for the screw, Had to use glue to fix it up.
-The buttons had to be pushed harder to work.
-Needed to trim some excess plastic to place the top screen covers.

Other Thoughts: I don't like the bottom cover black. Much better if gray.

Bottomline: The price for the product and quality is Great! Buy now if you want to turn your NDS to like brand new.

Pros: You can't beat these for the price. The build quality is fairly good. I think every DS Phat ever made gets at least 1 broken hinge in its life. The only fix is replacing the case. These are easy to put together after you have done one. All the stickers etc... are included to make these look authentic.

Cons: The screws that come with this are poor quality. The casting marks from the mold are rarely cleaned well. Half the time some of the screw holes are to big for the screws. I put glue in the screw holes to fix this. Remember to try the screws in every hole before assembling. The pink version made by Nintendo has a white bottom. These have a black bottom. The hinge axis does not come with these. You need to use the ones from the old shell / case.

Other Thoughts: These are pink. Nintendo must have only made a limited number of pink. I have seen more pink ones like these being sold than the ones made by Nintendo. This gives the girls the color they want.

Bottomline: If you have broken your hinge or if you are putting a game system together for a younger girl on a budget you can't beat these.

Pros: The shell, as any other product I bought from DX, arrived perfectly after a week or 2 so. It does what it is intended to do. When mounted on the DS, the DS feels like a new one (except that off course the scratches on your touchscreen will still be there, there is no sacrificial window on top of the touchscreen, you can however buy a new touchscreen when needed, also from DX)

Cons: the injection molding is no perfect, but good,
this means that some screws might be a little loose, which is nothing dramatic & hey for a product of a few dollars ...

Other Thoughts: I am an electronics engineer (but not really practitioning those years) so was brave enough to dismount & re-mount a DS.
Extra motivation was the fact that my daughters DS had a broken hinge after a fall (typical problem with DS it seems)
some relaxing music while mounting also helps ;-)
The whole (re)assembly process took me roughly 2hrs and is something for the brave & handy. It is feasible, hundreds have done before you, but if you never opened (& succesfully remounted) electronics involving flatcables, I wouldn't recommend it
But if you are brave enough & have read several step by step tutorials (like from youtube or http://www.instructables.com/id/Replace-the-top-screen-of-a-Nintendo-DS-without-o/?newComment=true#CCXI47OFR7EUV1I) it really is worth the time & experience, really !
have a close look & read my technical notes on the above mentionned site, as it might spare you a week of trouble & grey hair (the flatcable lockers are very easily overlooked)

Pros: Cheap.
Great fit.
Great quality.
Looks great.
Everything You need is included, screws, stickers etc.

Cons: It did require a VERY small bit of trimming of flash on the buttons, not a big deal at all. I just snipped a bit of flash off with a small set of cutters.

Other Thoughts: This is a pretty big job if You have never done stuff like this before, easier than a Nintendo DS lite though.
Find a good guide and if You are reasonably handy You can do it.
Be careful with the ribbon cables.
This case does look really good when you are done.

Bottomline: I would not recommend doing this just to get a new color. It is not terribly hard but it does take a while. Take you time and find a guide with pictures.
This is a great buy if You need to repair a girls Nintendo DS.
