Pros: easy to apply, no instructions were really necessary though knowing japanese didn't hurt either.
Cons: bottom screen protector could have been a bit bigger. after installation, there's a fairly wide gap between the edge of the plastic bevel and the protector.I don't have any other problems with it really but I'm not really sure if these were any better than cheaper ones. Almost time to replace these after a year of use so I'll probably get a cheaper pair since these are no longer available on DealExtreme.
Other Thoughts: I'd have preferred something a bit thicker but I guess that would have affected the touchscreen too much. They're a bit cloudy now and I have scratched the bottom one up quite a bit (I blame Big Bang Mini for that)
Bottomline: in all, I still think it was a good purchase; but I expected a bit more use out of them than 1 year
Pros: -Harder to scratch than other similar but cheaper products.-Has a really smooth feel when dragging the stylus, it just flows. I like it a lot.
Cons: -Instructions are not in english. You'll have to figure out how to install it.-Leaves a small gap around the edges of the screen (about 0.5mm) where lint and dust will collect. I recommend to clean this gap by blowing (with a can of compressed air or a blower brush).
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: With normal use, these can outlast any other brand by far. I have a Hori screen protector installed since I bought my DS. Got more from DX to keep spares, but the original still has only faint scratches.
Pros: The screen protector came with protective film covering it. Together with the packaging was a small piece of cleaning cloth for removing stains on the screen before application. The protector is made from a stiff material and held its shape well. The surface of the protector seems to have rubberised effect which makes the contact between the stylus and screen surprisingly soft and almost springy.
Cons: Instructions are Jap and I had to figure it out by reading those words that I can understand because they were orignal Chinese characters to identify which was the correct facing side.
Other Thoughts: Be careful not to try to use the cloth provided to clean the screen protector itself as the rubbery side also traps the lint.
Bottomline: Clearly good quality and packaging. However, after a couple weeks of use, the screen protector seems to be just as scratched as a cheap no-brand one which I applied to my other DS on the same day.
Pros: It really does protect the screen. the scratches i see is like wow. the ds does scratch very easily especially the touch screen.
Cons: the instructions are in chinese... theres no english whats so ever. it doesnt even come with a soft card. it was very hard and fustrating to put on because of this. also i had to wait like an extra week or so.
Other Thoughts: i guess it isnt really worth it to buy hori. the ones they sell in the store seem the same. they both protect. although the ones in the store DID COME with a SOFT CARD, which made it good.
Bottomline: Not really worth it. the price you spend here is about the same you spend in the store with your language on it too.
