Pros: Does work. Low price.

Cons: Plastic battery compartment cover is flimsy.
When placed solar-panel up, batteries try to fall out of charging bay. (So far, this has not made any batteries lose contact and not get charged.)

Other Thoughts: I keep it on the dash of my car, with a pair of batteries in it. I don't know how long it takes to charge a pair of depleted batteries, but the ones in it have always been charged when I need them (less than once a week).
The plastic cover on the first one arrived broken. DX sent me a whole new unit, so I'm happy.

Bottomline: Functional, but somewhat fragile. Probably not what you want to take backpacking.
