Ownership verified by DX Soooo pretty... my precious...

Pros: Soooo pretty, you just want to look at it all the time! One sec... ahhhh... there she is (heh heh). This is one time I am glad I am not in a relationship at the moment. She would definitely be jealous as the light would probably get more looks - that is if it is not "claimed" as someone else said below. Oh, and it is pretty dang bright - I am using primaries, but it also works with rcr123s. I have brighter lights (like the fenix P1D etc.) but this is just sooo pretty.

Cons: Cost. Wish it were about $15 less, and I would no doubt buy several more...

Other Thoughts: When I first received it, it came in a padded envelope, simply wrapped in a thin plastic case. I was expecting at least a bubble wrap in a box - nope. As a result, it has scratches, which I hope I can wipe down a bit - will know more tomorrow

Bottomline: Just had it half a day, but this is simply the most beautiful flashlight I own. It is smaller than I thought it would be by the picture. Buy at least one before the SSC P7 get more famous...

Pros: good looking gold and chrome finish
built like a pocket sized tank
tail stands are no problem
no battery rattle
works great with a LIR
tight sealing o-rings and weight give a feel of quality.

Cons: I do not really care for the "FIGHTER" etching, but after a while of pocket carry it has faded.
The Glow-in-the-Dark / GITD O-Ring Around the Sapphire Crystal Lens is cool but kind of useless. It does not glow for more the a few seconds.

Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: This is hands down one of the best looking lights that I own. The price is fair but if it was a little cheaper I would give them to all my family as stand by flashlights for power outages

Pros: -Beautiful chrome finish with accent of gold.
-Feels reassuringly solid.
-Stands upright, so that you can cast on to the ceiling for area lighting.
-Does not turn in to a hand warmer.
-Has 2 holes, a recessed end and a notch between the 2 holes, which is obviously meant to allow attaching various types of key rings or thin larnyards without affecting its ability to stand on its end.
-Has a rubber ring around -ve contact nubbin, which keeps cell from rattling back and forth when switched off.
-Tube internal diameter provides quality fit for CR123 so it doesn't rattle around. Don't know about LIR. It may be a little tighter as LIR usually has a marginally larger diameter. But since it is designed to take LIR, that is probably not a concern.
-Reassuringly firm fit over the body o-ring.

Cons: -Edges of the notch a little bit scratchy (though no actual burr) and you can't clean it up with a file or sandpaper because that will take out the chrome.
-Too pretty. Got "claimed" by significant other within seconds.
-Threads a little rough. May need some breaking in.
-You need to tighten it almost all the way to switch it on. Coupled with scratchy threads, small dimensions and smooth body, it is very hard to turn it on with one hand. Not impossible, just difficult.

Other Thoughts: Knurling it to improve the grip, especially around the bezel and rear, so that one-handed operation is easier would be nice, but that would probably detract from its appearance, since the whole idea of chrome is smooth, bright, shiney surfaces.
You could turn this in to a beautiful presentation piece by engraving through to the copper underneath, then preserving the bright copper contrast with a sealing lacquer. Add a wooden box with satin lining and it would look a million bucks.
-Measured power using a lab supply: 3V 0.57A, 2.5V 0.69A, 2.0V 0.81A.
Seems to suggest that it is loosely regulated around 1.6W to 1.7W consumption. Unless the board is ridiculously inefficient, it is probably powering the LED at 1.5W. Would have been perfect if it were multi-level starting at 3W.

Bottomline: Hide it from your girlfriend, wife, co-workers, or bring it out but keep a tight grip on it. Bright and beautiful with dunk-resistance at the very least. You could hardly ask for more.
