Pros: Solid little remoteCheap as borscht!Ships with battery guard Works out of the packageBetter than a cable release
Cons: It's pretty small, but so is the OEM remote
Other Thoughts: Get this if you have an Olympus camera, in fact get two in case you lose one. This is a great remote to do HDR photography with because you can step the EV values.
Bottomline: If you have an Olympus camera and you haven't bought one of these yet you're just plain silly. Get one today. It'll help if you also get a tripod, and while you're at it why not a flash?
Pros: -Works exactly the same as the Olympus remote-Can activate bulb mode-Works with Olympus dSLRs
Cons: -Somewhat cheap build quality-No manual to speak of-Very little tactile feedback on buttons
Other Thoughts: Great item, works almost exactly like the Olympus remote, in that it can both trip the shutter and activate Bulb Mode on Olympus dSLRs. Extremely useful item to have around, especially when using long lenses on a tripod where shutter button vibration can be an issue.
Bottomline: Absolutely worthwhile. Works out of the box with Olympus dSLRs.
Pros: Costs nothing compared to original Olympus remote. The remote is small, fits nicely to pocket or to camera bag.Build quality is good.Looks good in my opinion.
Cons: There are no instructions in the remote which button does what.
Other Thoughts: Works great with my E-400.The camera can be easily set to remote operation mode, which choices of immeadite shoot or two seconds delay.
Bottomline: I don't need the remote often, but this was still work buying. At times it is good to have a remote and this one does the job perfectly well.
Pros: * Works right out of the box (battery even included)* Controls my E-410 like a charm* Works well from most angles (I've yet to test its range)* Retail remote is 25-30$. Do the math.
Cons: * Build quality is good but not perfect (the glossy front panel isn't entirely flat)* Very few buttons, and not all of them even have a function on my camera. Keep in mind this is similar if not identical to the OEM remote from Olympus (what a shame).* No instructions (except a note on infra-red light being invisible ;))
Other Thoughts: If you plan on shooting using a tripod this is a must have! Even the most sturdy tripods combined with a delayed shot mode on your camera will benefit from hands-free shooting.
Bottomline: I got 2, for myself and for a friend. At this price it could have one big "Shoot" button and I'd still recommend it :)
