Works like a charm

Pros: - The price is fairly cheap compared to the branded ones.

- It works! I've tested it with my Canon 400D and a friends Canon 500D (even though it isn't listed as supported) and it worked with both.

- Compact and small, doesn't take up any space in your bag so you can always take it with you.

Cons: The buttons don't really say that much (the reason why I 'only' gave 4 stars to ease-of-use). But after some trying out you'll propably find the buttons you need.

Furthermore not much to say about the cons.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how long the battery will last, but the battery is probably more expensive then the device itself.

Bottomline: You pay for a device which, when branded, would cost you tenfold. Even if it wouldn't have worked it would not have been a problem for me.

Work on my Rebel XSI

Pros: Worked for my EOS 450D/XSI even it wasn't listed on the manual.
It just works right out of the box. Comes with battery. Just 2 buttons work on my digital camera. Great product. Great price.
 
Cons: Bad manual. Well only thing that should be in the cons is that you have to try out all the buttons before you know which one works with your camera. It's not hard to do, just push the buttons in order untill you find the ones that work.
 
Other Thoughts: Just great. Should buy 2 just incase you wanna make some autoshot or time shot device. Great price.
 
Bottomline: A great product with a nice price.

Pros: Works with my Canon 500D out of the box. Just set the mode to Timer/Remote and you are ready to go.
 
Cons: Effective range (direct sight indoor) was 7.2m, It gets harder to aim after 5m and requires very direct line of sight.
For broad day light, the distance will be slightly shorter due to external IR interference.
 
Other Thoughts: Due to the position of the remote sensor on EOS 500D, placed between hand grip and the lens. There is only very narrow area of reception from the trigger location.
 
Bottomline: Works great for the price. Definitely recommended.

Pros: Works, actually well. It also feels good, almost like a Canon accessory would.
 
Cons: As others said, not all buttons work for all cameras, e.g. for my Canon 350D. I haven't tried it at an angle yet, but I wouldn't rely on infrared remote triggering for a speaker photo, at a conference. I'm not using it, but who knows, maybe there will be a situation where I will.
 
Other Thoughts:  
Bottomline: Buy it, even if you don't plan on using it soon. For this cheap price, you get a good build quality, multi-brand camera remote.
