Pros: * Works great om a 40D* Comes with a CR2 battery* Small manual, but it says enough* It's plastic but looks quit sollid
Cons: * No cons, i was just really glad it works on a 40 D
Other Thoughts: I was a bit concerned. But it works great on my 40D.You don't need a manual. It's just plug and play. Put the battery in and it just goes.Hope DealExtreme will get more products for a Canon 40D
Bottomline: Buy it. If you want a wireless remote for your 40D.It's really cheap and does it's work perfectly. I'm really glad a bought it!
Pros: It works! What more can you ask for? It can half press for focus, and full press for shutter release. Good range.
Cons: The channel switch is very small. You need to use a pin to change the channel.
Bottomline: I like it, and it works.
Pros: Well, it works as advertised. And the coolest thing about it is that the "half-press" to focus, and "full press to shoot" is supported, so even the auto-focus works remotely.
Cons: The connector to the camera is a bit more cheaply built than the rest of it, so it does require a bit of wiggling to get the pins to contact properly, and fit all the way into the socket.
Bottomline: This will have replaced my interval timer for the family portraits this time around. It's definately fun to play with.
Pros: Works on Canon 30D fine and connector provides a good fit. Lights on rcvr provide indicator of focus (yellow) and shutter release (red). Good price and simple to use. Range is good and went thru 2 walls!
Cons: No manual but intuitive. The battery included is a CR2, not whatever it is it shows on the illustration. Exterior packaging says Nikon so you freak out momentarily.
Other Thoughts: I have not repeatedly field tested it but inside my home it worked fine thru walls and about 50ft distance. Receiver has red light for on/off indication and other light for during focus and shutter release status.
Bottomline: Good buy for the penny pincher or casual user of wireless remote. I was afraid of connecting it to my $1500 canon 30D but I'm ok with it now.
