Pros: There's just way to many possibilities out there for this thing. First off, VLC is almost a must. Testing it out, I had a point-and-shoot camera attached to a laptop outputting live display. Also hooked up the Wii and played a few rounds.
Cons: LAG - it's noticeable to start and it gets worse the more you play. The camera I tried first wasn't too bad. The Wii was nearly unplayable. Anything that requires quick reaction, you should for another method of connecting
Other Thoughts: It's meant for digitizing and it does that well. With 2 different video inputs, it will work with a number of devices, and while the included software is decent, there are a lot of other options out there.
Bottomline: I got it gor myself as a laptop console-gaming-on-the-go option. It works, but not well. Others saw what I was doing as a proof on concept with the camera and really liked it. I think I'll buy some more to pass along.
Pros: - very good video capture- real time- good sound- good looking device, - black edition (other colors can be not bad too)-the video software included is very good, and its easy to use-
Cons: - after connecting my screen blink at 50hz freq- after disconnecting that blinking is not visible- very big package, i use it my "all in one" pc ,i have removed the cover and build it in
Other Thoughts: - cables may be longer- very good heat source for long winter nights :)- led brights too much
Bottomline: - its very good to capture VHS to DVD video or tv screen, -useful for copying video from any source,
Pros: Pretty Cheap! Nice for capturing shows on Television and some cable box.....
Cons: I can not get this to work with my IPTV Cable Box. Im a bit disappointed but well what will i expect this is cheap....
Other Thoughts: Would be awesome if it support other devices.....
Bottomline: BUY! BUY! ITS REALLY CHEAP!..
Pros: -Cheap-Reasonable build quality-Quality far superior to PCI capture card I already have.
Cons: Finding suitable capture software was the biggest challenge!You need additional cables (sku.4723)to connect to laptop. Best results using S-video and mic in.
Other Thoughts: Install drivers only as Ulead Studio not so good. Best results using Microsoft Windows Movie Maker but only with XP as VISTA doesn't recognize it as a legitimate input device. Tried Virtualdub but kept locking up.Nerovision even worse!
Bottomline: Be prepared for some hours of pain and trial and error in getting a suitable quality capture.
