                                            Pros: These are exactly what they are described as. They are great for projects and using the housing to fit other LDs into.
Just right for fitting 405nm laser diodes into or a high power 200mw+ red from a CD burner.
 
                                            Cons: PS3 LDs should pop straight into theses but the spec must change slightly as I had a bit of filing down to do to get mine to fit. (If you don't already know - it's something you don't want to be doing!)
 
                                            Other Thoughts:  

                                            Bottomline: Perfect if you want to start your own laser projects. Great for use in a lasing threshold testing circuit to spare your expensive diodes that you eventually want to test.

                                            Pros: I bought a dozen of this module, in few word : 
Inexpensive red module for DIY project, tiny, can support cr123 rechargeable, focusing dot !
useful driver with tiny yellow led
 
                                            Cons: no cons ?
perhaps a offer with 5x/10x module for a good price
 
                                            Other Thoughts: these module are perfect to use with high power laser diode (just remove the 7mw red diode inside it, and the driver); the brass ring is perfect, just remplace the acrylic lens with glass lens (see aixiz on ebay) to get more mW
 
                                            Bottomline: I love this module, cheap and reliable, another great deal here !

                                            Pros: Blindingly bright compared to my older red pointer wich is about 0.2 mW
Easy to use, just connect a rcr123 or any other battery with that voltage
Small, and very nice build quality. They screw together very nicely.
Ability to focus is very useful.
Great for DIY projects.
Only 30 ct more than bare modules, and a 5 mW diode is always handy.(illumination?:-D)
 
                                            Cons: None I can think of.
 
                                            Other Thoughts: Great if you plan building diy lasers, for both green and violet.
 
                                            Bottomline: Get some.

                                            Pros: *my first one was <7mw and the one i got later was <5mw.
*suprised by the build quality, it focuses realy nice and its screws on nicley.
 
                                            Cons: why cant DX just send the same ones.
i have to write 500 word on some thing that is the size of my thump.
 
                                            Other Thoughts: i wished they would have sent me this one the first time.
fits nicely in  SKU01099
i am going to use the module as a 100-250mw laser diode housing.
if i were to lose my thump and get a plastic one i would get this module in there with the 250mw power and it would be siik!.
 
                                            Bottomline: its good as these modules are not affected by customs and you can easily turn it into a pointer.
